New video day! So you can all admire how nice my braid looks. My sister bought me the same hairbrush she uses, and it is sooooooo much better. Brushing and braiding only takes half an hour now instead of an hour. Oh, and Dog Hazel is there at the beginning, and then got bored and walked away to play with her wibble-wobble.

This is one of those cool coincidences. The two brilliant directors of Indian film, one from Bombay and one from the south, were born exactly 5 years apart to the day. There is something special about July 9th. And, just to put the cherry on top, one of the most brilliant actors in Hindi film history was also born on July 9th.
Happy Monday! I had a weird weekend, mostly binging Netflix shows and sleeping weird. It was nice, I’ve had way too busy weekends lately, I needed a hunker in and stay home kind of weekend to make up. And now I am back at work, trying to function.
I just spent the entire weekend with Sacred Games, first watching it and then writing about. Which has me thinking about other options for multi-season Netflix style miniserieses that I want to see.

As I feared, I ended up doing nothing today and just binging Sacred Games. Oh well, at least it was a really really good show, so I don’t feel like I completely wasted my day. And I will try to put up little mini-spoiler reviews over the course of the day tomorrow, so we can discuss without spoiling people who haven’t started/finished yet.
I just got in trouble again, some more, for discussing and critiquing a star persona which was seen as critiquing the person behind it. Which made me start to think about how I define for myself the star persona versus the person behind it.
Happy Saturday! I have nothing to do for the first weekend in ages. Thank goodness, because I was getting seriously sleep-deprived, and Dog Hazel was getting a bit lonely.
Sorry! Work was NOT FUN today, so I didn’t get quite as complete and extensive as I should have in my original Chocolate heroes post. Which just gives me an excuse for an additional post, with the extra special ones, the imported handcrafted special fillings ones (I may have to dig my emergency chocolate box out of the freezer tonight).
Tomorrow is International Chocolate Day (today is fried chicken day in America-July is an unhealthy month). So I thought I would look at Chocolate Heroes, a phrase specific to Hindi film that makes almost no logical sense and yet you immediately understand what it means. Well, almost immediately.
Trailer fiesta!!!!! Fanney Khan just came out, the others are older but I haven’t written about them yet, and I want to know what you all think of them.
Thank goodness, after my string of hot unhappy looking videos, I finally look good. This is the video to share with people if you want to sell them on my channel! Because, so pretty. It’s really rainy here and I think the soft light, combined with my disgusting tangled hair (I went swimming a lot yesterday) and my nice new shirt ended up with a great look. Oh, and my thoughts are good too. But mostly, don’t I look pretty? Instead of like I am about to die of heatstroke?

Happy 5th! I’m right now driving from the vacation house to work directly, which means I have to bring Dog Hazel to work with me. But it’s okay, because all my coworkers are in love with her and my boss is out of town. This is Wednesday Watching a day late, because yesterday was a holiday.

I completely missed the coverage of the latest Ambani wedding, but I can leap in last minute to give the absolute basic bare bones information about the family for those of you who may not know about them. They are soooooooooooooo important in India, and yet tend to stay out of focus in the rest of the world, so you may not be aware of them if you live somewhere else.
I was browsing through einthusan and I saw this movie and thought “oh hey, I’ve heard about this film a lot, I should check it out”. Not a great decision! Really a very odd and strangely regressive film that is supposed to be about two women but is really just about the man torn between them.
