Continuing my experimenting, Dina and drove home from Phillauri last night and discussed the movie the whole way. Feel free to listen in! As you know if you regularly read the blog, moviemavengal who comments here and has her own blog, is my friend “real” life as well as online. We saw Angamaly Diaries together (her review is here), and last night we got together over Skype to talk about it and recorded our conversation.
I put up a post a week ago asking for votes on dates and films, and the winner is April 8/9 and Maine Pyar Kiya! Well, the qualified winner. There were a lot of split votes, Mann kind of tied with Maine Pyar Kiya. But Mann is apparently completely unavailable in Australia, so Maine Pyar Kiya it is!
If you want to know why this film is just breathtaking, then you should read my no spoilers review. Because the amazing part of the film isn’t in the story it is telling and what happens, it is in how the story is told. But if you want to read a little more in depth discussion about the film and every aspect of it, not just the breathtaking parts, you can read on.

I’ll be putting up my regular TGIF post later today, Aamir themed of course. But I have to say (and feel free to disagree), Aamir is just not that sexy. Intellectual, sure. Caring, a good father, charming, confident, all those things that are usually sexy. But in what is, for me, just a tiny little non-sexual package. If you have this same issue, I thought I would share with you a little gift from twitter this morning.
We last did this a few months back, and I had sooooooo much fun watching Hum Saath Saath Hain with you guys! It was the most painless way to watch a Rajshri without going into insulin shock. Heck, it was even enjoyable! So I want to do it again. We just need to figure what movie to watch and when. I am strangely leaning towards Easter/Night before. But that might not be viable for everybody.
Happy Monday! Time for questions! No big movie coming out this week (unless I have forgotten something), so all we have to talk about is an Irish holiday.
Well, here it is, after midnight, and I have my sun lamp on to try to trick myself into thinking it isn’t after midnight. I just want to go to bed! But no! First, I must give all you nice people an indication of whether Badrinath is worth rushing out to see.
Good news! My publisher is temporarily dropping the price of my book! If you haven’t bought it yet (why not? It’s BRILLIANT!), today is the day you should! And then read it and love it, and write a review on Amazon or GoodReads or wherever else.

Success! I found the Kangana Koffee! Despite it being “not available in your region” on the HotStar website and “content pulled at the request of…” on most other sites. I did finally find it on one site, which I am keeping to myself, and successfully watched it! So now I can talk intelligently both about the episode and about Karan’s recent comments.
You know that feeling when you are at a party and everyone else is sharing a joke but you missed the beginning and aren’t sure why they are laughing or if it was actually funny? That’s how I feel about Commando 2. Suddenly it’s everywhere, and I have no idea what it is or why I should care!
I’m so excited I can’t sleep, so I started scouring twitter for “evidence”. Of what, I’m not sure. People who are also excited about babies?
I got a text and a tweet while at a tea room celebrating a friend’s birthday. And then immediately had to tell everyone at the table, and then text everyone I know, and then write an emergency blog post so you could all share in the joy. But now I am home, and I can scour all my favorite internet sources and see what I can find out!

I asked around and datablue confirmed that Bhootnath is a must see for SRK hardcore fans, and T.J Stevens said it was one of her favorite films as a kid (HOW OLD AM I???? I remember when it came out and I was already out of college! I am a MILLION YEARS OLD!!!). So, anyway, I decided to see if I could squeeze it in between getting dressed in the morning and having dinner last night. I totally could! It does not require a lot of attention.
I’m still in the middle of my Chopra family series, I’ll be back to it next week for the family feud in the second generation and the joining with the Mukherjee family. But right now, I wanted to make sure we all knew the “real” story behind Kangana Ranaut’s character in Rangoon before we go see the film.
Hello my fellow Americans! And other people who are reading this post out of curiosity even though they know it has no call to action for them! There are 3 things I want to alert you to in American politics.
I already said in my no SPOILERS review that this is a great great rom-com! And you should definitely go see it if at all possible. Don’t just read my SPOILERS review! Only read it if you have already seen the film, or if you are one of those people who can still enjoy movies even after reading all the spoilers.
