I watched this movie because I thought it might be a Shahrukh thing. But turns out, it is such a lovely movie that the Shahrukh part of it barely matters to me. There is so much else to love.

Sunday ReRun: Ra.One, a Big Fun Silly Movie
Oops! I accidentally double-scheduled reviews for today, Dhanak and Ra.One. There could not be two more different movies!
Continue readingSilly Sunday: Happy Sitcoms for Shahrukh To Star In!
How well do you know family friendly sitcoms of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and today? How many of them do you want Shahrukh to feature in? I have many ideas and I hope at least some of you can also enjoy them!
Continue readingHappy Birthday Shahrukh! A Totally Brand New Jab Harry Met Sejal Review, as a Special Present to Us All!!!!
I am going to try super super super hard to write a totally new take on JHMS. After the thousands of words I have already written, this is going to be almost impossible. But I believe I can do it!
Continue readingMy Shahrukh Birthday Party Celebrations!
Last year I had 9 people, this year it might just be me or one person. But both ways have their own joys. And obviously, it makes no difference in my preparations. It’s a birthday! It has to be celebrated.
Continue readingFriday Classics (on Saturday): Chaahat, Shahrukh in His Girliest and then Manliest Role EVER
Oh wow, this is such an entertaining movie!!!!!!! It goes along okay and well made and interesting for most of it, and then the last half hour hits and it goes INSANE in the very best possible way!
Continue readingShahrukh’s Birthday! Report From the Front!
Hello all! Happy Shahrukh’s birthday, again! I have been celebrating by having a life (I decided that is what he would want me to do), thus have not been posting or responding to comments. But I am back, with a little placeholder post of a few things that are fun and happening for the holiday.
Continue readingHAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAHRUKH!!!! Here Are the 9 Reasons I Love You
I can’t remember if I first wrote this last year, or the year before. But no matter when it was, it is still true. I still love him, and these are the reasons why.
Continue readingShahrukh Birthday Talk Space: Share Fan and Star Wishes, Photos Inside and Outside Mannat, and Everything Else!
It is now well past midnight in India. Meaning the SRK Birthday celebrations have officially begun, and I cannot possibly keep up with all the news coming out. But if you have insomnia, or really good social media skills, or are just obsessive about trolling for stories, you can post them all here!
Continue readingSunday ReRun Announcement: Celebrate Shahrukh Day By Watching Dhanak!!!!!!!
I am very excited about this! I may rewatch this film myself, because it is so beautiful and such a nice little tribute to what SRK is. If you haven’t seen it before, you MUST. Even if you are not a Shahrukh fan, just because it is a beautiful beautiful film.
Continue readingTGIF/Month of SRK: 54 Photos of Shahrukh Being Happy
He’s turning 54 tomorrow, and all we want is for him to be happy. So as a gift to all of us, I am going to show us proof of 54 times in his life when he was really, truly, happy.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: The One Gift I Wish To Give Him
Final day, this is so sad. I’m going to start the ramp up to Jesus’s birthday tomorrow, but it’s not the same. Ultimately, he’s just not as big a part of my life.
Continue readingDiscussion Post: What Do We Most Want Shahrukh to Give Us For His Birthday?
Not what we “think he might announce”, but sky’s the limit, anything is possible, kind of wish list post. What big BIG thing would make you very happy for Shahrukh to say?
Continue readingMonth of SRK: 2 Beautiful Things He Wrote
This is a very simple post, but I can’t really improve on it. Two lovely things that Shahrukh has written.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: A Gift From Me to You! Two Very Old, Very Very Good, Interviews
These are from the “First Day First Show” book (buy it here! There’s a lot of really good well-written stuff in it) by Anupama Chopra. It’s a collection of the best writings from the first years of her career, when she was a journalist researching and writing long form articles and interviews. They are both good on their own, and also a fascinating time capsule for that period of Shahrukh.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: 3 Ways Shahrukh Gives Us Love
Did I already do a post similar to this this month? Whatever, I don’t care, the sun will never come out again (it’s so rainy here that it still looks like night at 3 in the afternoon), Albie Dog killed his bunny, and I can’t get anyone to see Housefull 4 with me (WHY??? It’s a reincarnation sex farce comedy!!!!! How are people not beating down my door to watch it?). I am going to lose myself in a collection of three categories of Shahrukh things that make me go “aaaaaahhhhhh”.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: 4 Songs of Shahrukh in Pain
Kind a lame SRK post today, but yesterday’s was very long and detailed, plus I had that fun little game post earlier today, so I figure it evens out.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: Game Post! Sex or Punch, Shahrukh’s Double Roles
I was going to make this marry or kill, but that would be way way too easy. Also, marry or sex. Obviously you marry the better man and kill or sex the other one. But what if sex or kill are your only choices? Well, then (I know you!), you would all be too soft-hearted to kill in order to avoid sex. You would put up with boring sex in order to save the life of the better man. So, new rule! Sex or a swift punch in the nose.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: Shahrukh’s Life Story in 5 Sections
I am writing this at work from memory, I don’t have my King of Bollywood (the book, not the person, the person is obviously always with me in my heart) with me, so forgive errors! Forgive, but correct, I will doublecheck and fix if I have to. Also, GOOD LORD this is long!!!!! Sorry about that.
Continue readingSunday ReRun: Chalte Chalte, Rani and Shahrukh’s Best Rom-Com!
Huh, I forgot I did Paheli just last week. So we are having a little string of Rani-Shahrukh movie reviews.
Continue readingSilly Sunday/Month of SRK: 6 Cary Grant Movies for Shahrukh to Make
This is a very “niche” post, but it makes me happy. And I really hope at least SOME of you will read this and appreciate it. I can’t be the only one with an encyclopedic knowledge of old Cary Grant movies, right? Oh, and it’s also kind of a long one, I got distracted with the details of the plots a bit.
Continue readingFriday Classic (on Saturday): Billu, Shahrukh’s Vision of the Lonely Star
Finally getting around to writing about this very interesting and important movie! I hope I am not the only one who finds it interesting and important.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: 7 Shahrukh Brain Teasers
I’m having a lazy day, so I’m gonna be lazy and put up a series of questions and we will see how many answers we can come up with! Not discussion questions (although I hope they might lead to discussion), more trivia or riddle type questions.
Continue readingMonth of SRK: 8 SRK Movies To Learn His Life Story
Thanks for the suggestion Emily! Shahrukh (as most celebrities/actors do) has used his real life trauma to support his performances and promote his films. Which also means we can easily find 8 movies to watch if you want to get a sense of the emotional journey of the “real” SRK!
Continue readingThe Shahrukh Letterman Interview: Shahrukh’s First Date with the Western Audience
It’s 3am, I just finished watching the episode, I have 13 pages of notes, and I am going to try to write this review before I fall asleep again. Forgive any typos and spelling errors, it is very late!
