Gumrah: Bob Christo Sex Scene, BOB CHRISTO SEX SCENE!!!!!!

I could talk about Mahesh Bhatt, or Sanjay Dutt, or Sridevi of course. Or the Hong Kong setting or the crazy plot twists. But for the small community of DCIB, and the even smaller sub-section of DCIB that would be interested in an average film of the mid-90s, I feel that BOB CHRISTO SEX SCENE is what is most likely to get you excited.

10 Movies to Start Discussions About Family

Is anyone here interested in those “shades of gray” characters with moral problems related to violence and the greater good and blah blah blah? no, right? Conversations about right and wrong after those movies are booooooooooooooring. But! How about a movie about right and wrong between the prodigal son versus the caregiver child? Oh yeah, that’s the stuff, that’s the thing that can set off the deep long conversations.

Gulabo Sitabo Review (No Spoilers): Sometimes a Movie Really Has to Be About Something

I did it! I watched the first digital premiere major movie! And I really wish I had seen it in theaters so Dina and I could have whispered to each other jokes about how bad it was the whole time. Not a movie that really makes you happy and entertained and happy when watched by yourself streaming. More one that makes you keep checking the clock and waiting for something to HAPPEN.

Happy Father’s Day/Pride! Which of These Father/Queer Stories Do You Most Want to See?

It is too hot to think straight today (ha! straight!), not only can I not think enough to write a “real” post and have to fall back on fanfic, even with fanfic I can’t think it all through, I have to just start it off and leave it there for you to imagine the rest.

Happy Father’s Day! 5 Films to Watch for Non-Traditional “Father” Roles

Happy Father’s Day!!!! There are so many traditional “father” movies, someone being all authoritative to their biological child. I want to think about all the movies where a male character fulfilled a loving mentoring role to a younger character.

Why does “Jana Gana Mana” Make Me Cry in Loins of Punjab More Than in K3G?

So, we all watched Loins of Punjab Presents on Friday. And it is funny and heartfelt and sweet and good things. But right at the end there is a sequence with the Indian National Anthem that just makes you start to cry and it’s very strange, because there is no obvious reason it should make you cry. I’ve been thinking about it for a day now and I’m still not sure why it makes me cry, but I think I have a theory.

Pride Day Post! Pick Your Favorite Queer Anthem For Your Imaginary Float!

There are so many great song options for float themes, if you were to be in charge of making a Pride float using a Hindi film song. I’m gonna start us off with 3 songs and you can add on whatever else you can think of, or pick from these three.

Watch a Movie With Me in 12 Hours, 4pm Chicago Time! Loins of Punjab Presents, For Rent or on Vimeo!

I am making a tiny exception, just this once, because the rights are so funky and giving a link to a Vimeo source. Hopefully this is watchable anywhere in the world, fingers crossed. If not, it’s worth the time to hunt a bit and try to find it anywhere you can.

Book Day/Pride Day: What Characters Have You Always Read as Queer Even If They Weren’t Labeled As Such?

Does that make sense? I don’t want to say, “what characters have you always read as queer even when they were straight” because that assumes straight is the default. Like, if some character has nothing indicating one way or the other, we assume straight. I want if they are indicated as straight, or not indicated as anything, either way you still chose to read them as Queer. Not even chose, they just read that way to you.

Happy Movie For Tomorrow 4PM Part 2: Loins of Punjab Presents, or Ohm Shaanti Oshana, or Dostana (2008), or Nina’s Heavenly Delights?

NOTE THE TIME!!!! I’ve got a tight schedule tomorrow, so I have to bump from our usual 3pm to 4PM CHICAGO TIME TOMORROW instead. With that in mind, I am also leaning slightly shorter on our movies. It’s quite the mix here, all they have in common is that they are available streaming, and they make Margaret smile. Some of them also are Pride themed, but not all of them.
