Episode 2! This is a good series to do episode by episode reviews, each seems to have a kind of individual overriding theme that I can use for discussion. (full index here)

Breathe Season 2 Episode 1 Recap/Review: Suffocation of Time Passing
Woot, season 2! Like Season 1, this is a good solid procedural limited series thriller. Not mind-blowingly good, no better than dozens of similar shows. But no worse either, and watching these familiar actors shift their performance style from the melodrama of Indian film work to the subtle close up style acting of TV thrillers is fun. (full index of reviews here)
Continue readingAmitabh Positivity Post: Sarkar, The Surprisingly Brilliant Godfather Remake
This should not be a good movie, let alone a Great movie. And yet, it is. Largely because of Amitabh. His performance is so good, I think it inspired everyone else to raise up to his level, from director to writer to co-stars.
Continue readingWhat Friday Movie Should We Watch for Amitabh Love?
We don’t have to forget Katrina either! One of her best early performances was, coincidentally, in an Amitabh movie. No, not Boom.

Continue readingDeep Thinking and Analysis Post! Comparative Heights of All Male Actors
This is one of those things I’ve always thought “someday when I have time, and enough collaborators, I can crack this”. And now might be the time! Ready to be productive instead of bored????
Continue readingSilly Lazy Wednesday: TV Shows Rewritten/Recast for India, Hart of Dixie, Single Parents, Bless This Mess
This were all recommended by readers, so I know at least SOME of you have already heard of them. And then there are like three of you that are fanfic diehards and will read anything, even if you haven’t heard of these shows. And heck, all of them are fun happy slightly romantic things, I want you all to watch them and enjoy them and if this fanfic helps promote them, great!

Continue readingHindi Film 101 Repost: Karisma and Kareena, The Kurrent Kapoors
I started the 101s with the Kapoors, so this is one of the very first posts I put up. But it’s still accurate, and it’s still good, so I am reposting it! And now you can learn about the Kurrent Kapoor Sisters.
Continue readingSunday ReRun: Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Grand Finale of Rani Week!
I originally wrote this post for Preity’s birthday, and I still think it is a great unusual role for her, but Rani’s role and performance is pretty good too!
Continue readingRani Week! Bunty Aur Babli, Her Funnest Comedy
This is one of my all time favorite movies, thrilled to have an excuse to repost this review!
Continue reading2009 Week! Delhi 6, Best Soundtrack of 2009 But Not the Best Film
I did it! I figured out the message of Delhi 6! It was right there in front of me all the time! Also, I figured out the main problem (Sonam and Abhishek have terrible chemistry). And the main blessing, the soundtrack is all time great.
Continue readingTo Celebrate the End of Shahrukh Month, Shahrukh Movies Re-Written Without Shahrukh (Yes, a romance for Rani and Kajol in KKHH)
Oh boy, a totally indulgent post! I love writing fanfic, and I am having a lazy happy evening with my dog. Don’t care if none of you read this (well, I care a little bit. It makes me really happy when you comment on my fanfic, especially with your own ideas), this will just be happy for ME.

Pretty sure the title isn’t a spoiler, the trailer and poster alone, not to mention the title, made it pretty clear what the film is about.
Continue readingNRI Week: Dostana, Friendship is Fun and Fabulous
This is a movie that is endlessly enjoyable, if you don’t expect it to be realistic. Or logical. Or smart. It’s just Fun.

Continue readingSongs in Which the Hero Gazes Longingly At the Heroine
Is that title clear? I feel like it is a genre that we are all aware of, but maybe it is just me and my sister and Angie in the comments. Doesn’t have to be longingly and lustfully, but also doesn’t NOT have to be longingly and lustfully.
Continue readingFriday Classics: Hum-Tum! A Couple that DOES NOT Fall in Love At First Sight
This is a movie that came out right when I was first getting in to Indian film, and I really liked it. It hasn’t held up super well as the years have gone by, but it is still fun and the central performances are still great. Even if the ending is a wee bit silly.
Continue readingKoffee With Karan: Shweta and Abhishek
I’m trying to catch up on Koffee. It’s hard, because you know how detailed I like to be in my discussions! And this is probably going to be another detailed one. But then, it was also a really interesting episode. I can always hope the others are dull and then it will be easy to write about them.
