Mother’s Day week, obviously I was inspired to watch Masoom. One of the greatest explorations of what it means to be a mother of all time. You can run from it, but it will always catch you.
Asmita just alerted me in the comments that Tom Alter has passed away. Which immediately brought up his face in my head. He has been in sooooooo many movies. And he did such a good job in them! (If you are interested in seeing a recent performance, he was in M Cream which is now on Netflix)
Wicked witches, evil uncles, twins, love potions, Madhuri Dixit, horses, fairy tale kingdoms, Danny Denzongpa, bungee cord fight scenes, geese, have I said anything bad so far? No! There is nothing bad in this movie! It’s all goodness, goodness so rich that maybe it was hard for people to stomach, and thus its massive flop at the box office on release. And, I was surprised to learn from the comments on my sexy songs post, not something that the readers here might even be aware of.
Finally! A juicy story involving family connections and possible repercussions through out the industry! I mean, most likely it will all blow over in a couple of days, but at least it is exciting while it lasts!
