I finally watched it! And it was sad, as expected, but also mesmerizing in a way I didn’t anticipate. Such a careful world that is created.Continue reading
I left work early on Friday and just came home and spent the weekend watching TCM. So many fun obscure movies that we could remake!Continue reading
I absolutely love this movie and I can’t believe it isn’t talked about more. There’s like 5 classic Madhuri dance numbers, Naseeruddin Shah plays a double role, and Aruna Irani is a witch. How is this not the most popular Madhuri movie ever????Continue reading
Mother’s Day week, obviously I was inspired to watch Masoom. One of the greatest explorations of what it means to be a mother of all time. You can run from it, but it will always catch you.
Asmita just alerted me in the comments that Tom Alter has passed away. Which immediately brought up his face in my head. He has been in sooooooo many movies. And he did such a good job in them! (If you are interested in seeing a recent performance, he was in M Cream which is now on Netflix)
Wicked witches, evil uncles, twins, love potions, Madhuri Dixit, horses, fairy tale kingdoms, Danny Denzongpa, bungee cord fight scenes, geese, have I said anything bad so far? No! So I am going to do the best I can and if I miss something, just mention it in the comments and maybe I will put it in for next years post! Anyway, here are 26 reasons for now, for the age he was in his first movie.
I watched Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro! FINALLY! After years and years of people telling me I should. Of course, I didn’t have a copy with subtitles available to me until just a year ago, but that’s still 12 months when I could have watched Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, and I did not.
