It’s not nearly as egregious as choosing Jeans (seriously, what were they thinking?) or choosing nothing the year Pinjar and Tehzeeb and Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon came out, but it’s still got that little tinge of “wait, what?” which always comes with these announcements.
One of the people I follow on youtube just posted a new video that I really liked, so then I dug up a few more videos I like, and voila! A post! I’m gonna get to a thousand within my first year of blogging if it kills me!
I just watched this movie for the 4th time, and it is still So. Good! And such a hard sell! I’ve seen it 4 times partly because people will only watch it if I sit next to them and force them to. Because the title alone really isn’t enough to sell it.
Not big news, really. Okay, a couple of these things might be big news. But mostly it is just confirmation that things are moving along in the direction we already thought they were headed.
Somehow, it is both rainy and overcast, and also 90 degrees out today. And Banjo isn’t playing anywhere near me, so I don’t get to see a new movie tonight. And generally life is bleak and depressing. As I have mentioned already, I just re-activated my Netflix discs and immediately requested every Malayalam film they have available. Which means I am going to end up with some stinkers. This one wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t very good, or interesting. But not quite bad enough that I could justify stopping in the middle (it takes a lot for me to stop in the middle of a movie).

Totally missed this holiday! And it’s almost as much fun to find songs for as International day of Dance! I think I’m going to just lean hard into the Shanti theme to start with, maybe I’ll try to do something more meaningful next year. Also, maybe next year I will remember on the actual day.
The Shivaay love song just came out. And, thank goodness, I think it explains what’s going on with one of the three very very young heroines. And possibly one of the other ones as well.
This was such a good movie. SUCH A GOOD MOVIE!!! All these cool concepts and visuals and ideas! Really, the only flaw was that there were too many good ideas, it was kind of overwhelming.

What an interesting movie! I read that it is supposed to be the start of the new age films, but it actually reminded me a lot more of Aalkkoottathil Thaniye. And other films I’ve seen from that classic 90s/late 80s era.

I really don’t care most of the time about what happens in the American gossip news. I mean, after getting used to the crazy rumors that fly around in the Indian film industry, all the American gossip just seems kind of bland. But there are two stories today that are so big, I actually care about them!!!
As you may have noticed, I did not see Pink. It just looks toooooooooooooooo depressing! Plus, I wanted to see a Malayalam movie for Onam. But, even though there is no Pink review here for you, I will still give you Pink box office figures.
