This may or may not be possible, but I am holding out hope that it is! Let’s see if we can combine all of this week’s birthdays into one Alphabet list.Continue reading
Kind of a boring guy which, coincidentally, is what makes him so interesting. How does a boring boring person find a way to maintain some level of stardom?Continue reading
It’s the greatest genre of all! Emraan Hashmi songs that make you go “wait, is that sexy? Or is it just a trip to the chiropractor waiting to happen?”Continue reading
Such a good movie! And such an interesting movie, a challenging movie, because it deals with the birth of a monster and how society was culpable in his birth, without also forgiving him for what he did or pretending he is less than what he was.Continue reading
My Mom and I are in the little town where my grandfather grew up to close up the last family house and do all that stuff. And we have an ambitious plan of hitting the historical society, the cemetery, Poppie’s high school, and the really good breakfast place. In the meantime, you all can chat!Continue reading
Oh, I am TOTALLY reposting my Ezra review for Passover!!!!!!! I just decided, it is the perfect way to celebrate. Plus, now there is going to be a remake? So I guess it makes sense.Continue reading

I just get a giggle out of today’s news items and can’t resist sharing them. Sometimes celebrity news is very silly! Oh, and some of this stuff is actually interesting too.
I know the Venn diagram overlap of Preston Sturges and Indian film fans is very empty, possibly just contains me, but I don’t care! It’s “silly Sunday”, I can be silly and do whatever I want.
(This is an updated and reposted post) If you’d asked me 9 years ago when Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na came out, I never would have said that Emraan would be my favorite Imraan/Emraan. But today, oh my goodness! He has beaten his homonym by a mile! And today he is 39 and still going strong! Here are 39 separate reasons I love him (yes, most of them are videos).
Well, this is a puzzle! Emraan’s birthday tomorrow and Rani’s on Wednesday, who gets top honors on the TGIF posts? I can’t decide, so I am splitting it, Emraan first and then Rani.
I already did a dozen for Amrita, I’m TIRED! So only a half-dozen for Udita. Mostly songs. And one super sexy scene (see if you can guess which one!)
More news!!!! Yaaaaaay! Lots of little things that are interesting to keep an eye on and see how they pan out. And of course Padmavat, the story that will never die.
It’s really not fair to all us account manager types that the end of the year accounting close period comes right after Christmas. I’m still drinking eggnog for breakfast! I’m not emotionally or mentally ready to be back at work! Luckily, Indian soundtracks are here for me. Let me walk you through the soundtrack of my work life.
I just spent 4 hours straight on work phone calls, I am tired, I don’t want to write a think-y post, I just want to be happy and indulgent! If you are in a similar state, I am here for you with sexy videos.
(This is an updated and reposted post from last year) If you’d asked me 9 years ago when Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na came out, I never would have said that Emraan would be my favorite Imraan/Emraan. But today, oh my goodness! He has beaten his homonym by a mile! And today he is 38 and still going strong! Here are 38 separate reasons I love him (yes, most of them are videos).
(Also, that photo up top makes me crack up)
Happy Birthday Mahesh! 68 years old today! And been directing films for the past 42 of those years. And half your movies are searingly intimate and real and incredibly high quality. And half of them are very low quality. What an interesting balance! Anyway, here’s my traditional 12 reasons I love you!
Malaria, huh? So, there’s a reason for me to take those terrible pills when I’m in India, even though they mess up my stomach and give me weird dreams?
Finally! Finally a good news day! So good, that box office is going to get its own little post! Because there is too much else to talk about.
I already posted my spoiler-free review, and I was going to put up a spoiler one, but why bother? I might as well just sprint through a summary, nothing much happened in this film so I’m not going to have much to say.
I finally saw Azhar! There was a confluence of circumstances which prevented me from seeing it opening night, like I usually do, but I was finally able to get to it last night. And the theater was actually pretty full! Like. a couple dozen other people along with me and my friend! I am impressed.
I watched Sharaabi! I’ve been meaning to for a while, just because that one song is so super catchy, and also because I was curious about an Amitabh starring remake of Arthur. What I didn’t realize was that this was one of those movies from the 80s where the entire point is to put Amitabh onscreen for as many minutes as possible, and all the other actors are just stage decoration.
Sushant Singh Rajput is single again! I am sure many many people care about this news, but I am probably the only person who cares about it exclusively because of Byomkesh Bakshy! I just really liked that movie.
