Happy Tuesday! Now that the holiday is over, I’m trying to get back on a regular schedule but it is HARD. Anyway, that means Tuesday box office time. (as always, figures from renttrack by way of bollywoodhungama)

It’s Memorial Day, which I am celebrating in the traditional American way, a barbecue. Although I am also sort of visiting a cemetery, since my friend’s backyard backs up on one. But that doesn’t mean I can’t take a moment to think about what it really means and why it is a unique holiday. Fair warning, this involves a lot of use of Rang De Basanti.

Okay, I think I figured this out! I found a time when the west coast, the east coast, and Italy can all coordinate. And also Japan and Australia, if people want to stay up very very late, your decision. India I didn’t bother about, because for some reason no one ever joins us from India. Very sad.
I wrote this back when I read his autobiography, before he even had his babies. But I think that last option still works, just change it so that the babies are twins and Karan is covering up their background for their own safety by claiming they were from a surrogate.
What a fascinating frustrating movie! Based on a fascinating frustrating real life case. Which, I am sure, many people in the comments already know much more about than I do.
I did a lot of work on this one, so why not reuse it? Alternate endings for every Karan movie, K2H2, K3G, ADHM, SOTY, MNIK, KANK, KHNH.

I’m finally doing it! The Sanjay Dutt Hindi Film 101 series! And if his movie gets delayed again, well that’s just too bad, they will have to live with my having already posted his series way way too early (not really, I’ll probably repost all these posts the day it comes out for convenience).
Hey, my office is closing for Memorial Day! That’s AWESOME!!!! I’m hosting my church quilting group and I really need an extra day to make the apartment opinionated-older-women clean. And also, it means we could do a twitter watchalong if we wanted! That is, if anyone is interested.
Happy Wednesday! It’s Wednesday, right? I was up kind of late last night working on the Telugu review. But now I will have coffee and it will all be better.
I finally found a way to watch this with subtitles!!!!! YuppTV, which I still don’t fully understand, had it. And it was, indeed, very much worth watching. Mostly for Nani. Who was not our protagonist and therefore had the best part. Because the most interesting role always goes to the character actors.
On Friday I did a post on random Madhuri photos so we could pick our favorites. I purposefully avoided her iconic looks, thinking that wouldn’t be fair. But Asmita called me out on it, so now a bonus post! Which look is most iconic?
