I think this is the movie I hate most. More than Bharat Ane Nenu, more than Bhansali’s Devdas, even more than Padmavat. And more than I hate the entity which is Rahul Desai. This movie is the source of everything that is wrong on earth condensed into one cotton candy colored pile of goo powered by toxic excrement of Disney films with Rani’s eyes and Saif’s energy. And yet, I love the soundtrack.

And one of my all time favorite Bad Hrithik performances. It’s not even so-bad-it’s-good, it is a level higher, so-bad-it-is-more-entertaining-than-if-it-were-good. I feel like it needs to be remade and given the 3 hour treatment it deserves. Also, I feel like Hindi film needs more sacrificial mothers rewarded with late in life romance main characters.

I finally watched Alai Payuthey! After putting it off for years and years and years and years and years. Because I love Saathiya, and I didn’t want to risk having it spoiled. But turns out, they are two distinctly different movies! Although still similar to Saathiya, so this is going to be kind of a combined review. I talked about some of these differences a little already when I reported on the OK Jaanu/OK Kanmani remake thing.
Raajneeti, Sarkar, and the original film, I have been on a bit of a Godfather binge (I also rewatched 1 and 2 over the past couple days). So now the inevitable final step, writing my own version.
Rainy rainy rainy here. And, I assume, rainy rainy rainy there too. So heck, I’m gonna do rain stories. And rain makes me feel arty, so they will all be reflective little art movies.

Happy Friday! I’m feeling lazy after my very very very very long post on PC and SRK yesterday, so I am going to throw up a short post on a bad movie. My favorite kind of lazy post to write! And if you want to be a lazy reader, I highly recommend watching all the song videos instead of reading, because this movie has really GREAT songs. And a stupid plot.
This post is also because I am looking for a nice light post to put up to cheer myself up because it has now been raining here for 30 hours. It was nice yesterday, when I could huddle in bed and watch the rain, but it’s not the same now that I am at work and have to shiver in my office watching the rain.

It’s Thursday, I want the week to be over, and yesterday it came up that a fair number of us watched/watch Parks and Rec. So why not kill a little work time by recasting it?
