Maddy is in it for about 15 minutes cumulatively and all he does is stand there looking solid and sensitive in glasses with shaggy hair. Barely has a character. But looks quite good. Everyone else: this movie was a disappointment, but probably still more enjoyable if you go in fresh than if you go in SPOILED. This review is for those who absolutely cannot see it in theaters, or who have already seen it and want to discuss.

Another Shahrukh repost! Dear Zindagi, a reminder of what happens when he takes a step back and lets his heroine take the lead. Okay, he always does that, but even more than usual.
As I already said in my No Spoilers review, this move is surprisingly good! Well, “surprising” to me, because I usually don’t like Shankar, and the trailer made it seem like just shallow action. So, I recommend watching it if possible without having read spoilers. But if you don’t believe it can really be that good, read the spoilers and then go see it anyway. Oh, and I should say it isn’t a total “anyone will love it” movie, so if you don’t like action science superhero films, you probably won’t like this.

Oh boy, my first Marathi movie! That hardly seems possible, but I guess it is true. I’ve certainly seen Marathi-based Hindi film movies, like Aiyyaa which had a distinctly Marathi heroine and family at the center of it. But it wasn’t, technically, in the Marathi language. But this is! I am just so multi-culti!
I already put up the no spoilers review, in case you want to watch the film fresh. This is your SPOILER option, in case you don’t care about going in fresh and want the spoilers. Oh, and this is also one of those reviews where I get really angry and mean. If you enjoy it when I do that.

I already put up my No Spoilers review, you can read that if you want to avoid spoilers. Most of the fun of the movie is in the action set-pieces which I can’t really spoil, so you don’t have to be that careful about it, read this review if you want. Oh, and this review is a little short because I am planning to do a semi-scene by scene for this film. Probably more like first half/second half, but the structure and visuals were interesting enough that I want to dissect them piece by piece over the next few days.
DISCLAIMER: This was written after my first watch. It took my second watch to understand some of the film, and it took my 3rd watch to really see it for what it was, and it took my 4th watch and my scene by scene to fully appreciate it. Anyway, an interesting time capsule of a first response!

What I lovely movie! Just delightful. And no knowledge of the plot can really “spoil” it (although if you definitely don’t want spoilers, you can read my other review). So I am going to encourage you to see it in theaters if at all possible, and if not read this review and plan to catch it streaming or otherwise.
Such a great movie! I was smiling and laughing in delight the entire time. If you will have a chance to watch it, you can read the No Spoilers review, if you already know the whole story, or won’t be able to see the film, you can read this one. It’s fun to watch not knowing what will happen next, but it’s also fun to watch knowing everything, it’s just that good.
I already put up my No Spoilers review, and this film is such a fun ride, I encourage you to read that one and leave this one until after you have watched it. Unless you can’t handle violence, can’t handle thrillers, or for some other reason will never be able to watch this movie.
This is a nice pleasant pretty predictable movie, one of those that it is kind of hard to spoil because you can probably guess most of it. But just in case you really really don’t want to be spoiled, you can read my No Spoilers review instead of this one.
Well, that was a bad movie! But absolutely worth the $30 it took to buy the last DVD copy available in the world. It was definitely an interesting experience and now I can tell you all about it, so you don’t have to waste time tracking down your own DVDs.
Oh boy, spoilers time! For me at least, there is nothing more stressful than a love triangle. I am always worried that the wrong couple will end up together. If you want that stress removed, you can read this and know how it ends. But on the other hand, a lot of the entertainment of the film is not being sure how it will end and trying to guess. So if you want that entertainment, read the No Spoilers review instead.
Fun movie, funny movie, intricate movie. I am really looking forward to digging up how it was put together! And I am really really looking forward to all of you helping me understand the ending. Oh, and if you haven’t seen it, get over to my No Spoilers review instead! You should read it anyway, because that’s where I talk about performances and stuff.
This is an interesting movie. Because it is both a sports movie and a true story, which means we know everything about it already. But at the same time, we don’t, because we don’t know what particular angle the filmmaker is going to choose to look at to show us this story. So, I leave it up to you. You already know the details of the plot, the trailer spelled it out. If you want the tone and message of the film to surprise you, don’t read this review, read this one. If you don’t care, do read this review.
This is an actual excellent film, and a very fun watch. It doesn’t really matter if you know what happens, you can still enjoy watching it play out, but if you like being surprised and having edge of your seat thrills, maybe wait and read the No Spoilers review first, and then this one after you have seen the movie.

Finally watched it! Months and months later. And years late to the whole Luv Ranjan genre. And I am fascinated! It is so much better, in so many ways, than I expected. Oh, and this is an insanely long review, partly because of the huge block quote in the middle of it. But it was too good to shorten!
I already put up my No Spoilers review which was just a wee bit cynical and unsympathetic. Versus this review which is a lot bit cynical and unsympathetic. If you want to watch the film, you should probably read that review. Not because this review has spoilers, the joy of it is in the songs and the beautiful cinematography and the line delivery by Irrfan, not in any details of the plot. But because I am just the entsy-ist bit mean and sort of tie this movie into the entire problem of class/gender oppression in the world.
