Chhichhore Review (SPOILERS): Why it Is Important To Talk Honestly To Your Kids About Your Life

I really really like the message of this movie! And it is a message that the trailers and advertisements for some reason didn’t make clear. I’m gonna spoil it in this post, but I honestly think that being spoiled might make you more interested in watching the film than going in unspoiled. But, you know, you do you! Read this review if you want to remain unspoiled.

Saturday Small Talk: Shahrukh New Movie Rumors, Weird Tamil Release Delay, Lots to Discuss!

Happy Saturday! I am going to the far far theater to see Chhichhore (so many h’s!). I could go to the just normal far theater, but then it wouldn’t be an adventure. Anyway, while I have my adventure, you all can talk.

Friday Classic Director’s Week: Mohabbatein, Adi’s Movie By the Numbers

Spellcheck wants me to replace “Mohabbatein” with “Mountbatten”. This makes me giggle every single time. Do you think it is possible that the whole film is an allegory for Edwina and Nehru’s affair? Amitabh is Mountbatten, Aish is Edwina, Shahrukh is Nehru, the school is India, Anupam Kher is Gandhi? It TOTALLY WORKS.

Rockstar: A Celebration of an Average Man with Average Problems Elevated to a God

Blech! I don’t like this movie. If you like this movie, DON’T READ THIS REVIEW. Why would you do that to yourself? Go about your life and continue to be happy and loving. But if you also hate this movie, come over here by me and we can hate it together.

Director’s Week: Gautham Menon, Strength Through Sacrifice

You can feel free to disagree with my arguments in this post. I’ve seen only maybe a third of Gautham’s movies so there could be something I am missing. But this is how it appears to me right now, with my imperfect knowledge. Also, WHY ARE GAUTHAM MENON’S MOVIES IMPOSSIBLE TO STREAM???? They just disappear off the face of the earth as soon as they leave theaters so far as I can tell.

Director’s Week: Aditya Chopra, Meastro of the 2 Minute Video, His Greatest Hits

I don’t know for sure that Adi did these. I know for sure he made the Darr trailer, which is instantly recognizable as something a little bit different and better than anything else. And there are other YRF trailers that have that same feel which I am choosing to credit for Adi.

Director’s Week: Aditya Chopra, Businessman First and Artist Second

Adi! Such an odd director, unpredictable and yet predictable. And always achieves the goal he sets out to achieve. I forgot, I already covered Aditya’s personal life in a Hindi Film 101, so if you want to learn more after reading this post, click here.

Shahrukh Summer: All Shahrukh Goofy Songs

The is broken in my office AGAIN so it is 1 million degrees and my brain has melted. Sorry, I hate complaining all the time about this, but it is literally making me ill and having a big effect on my blogging abilities. So no deep thought post, big silly post that requires minimal thought instead. I’m gonna go through Shahrukh’s filmography and pull out every single goofy song. And you all get to decide which one of them is the most happy making!

Instagram Update: Harsh Huh, Kat Cute, Patralekha Pyaari

My office is both extremely hot (the heater is malfunctioning) and busy (so many phone calls!), so I’m not even gonna do a real news analysis post. On the other hand, lots to discuss from Instagram! Well, lots of shallow image based gossip to discuss.

Silly Sunday Bonus: High Concept TV Show Based on Poo from K3G Before and After the Film

A single Silly Sunday post is always pushing it a bit in terms of reader interest, a second one is really unlikely to find an audience. But still, Shreyans Goenka and I came up with a really great limited series idea for Amazon Prime, and I feel the need to share it.
