Even the new Netflix edit leaves on important question unanswered, does Madhavan ever find love? Harmless innocent sweet untouched by passion Madhavan? Is there a woman who will awaken the sleeping sex God inside of him? I say YES!

Zero Analysis Post: A Doubling Story, Two People Who Make Each Other Complete
I’ve now seen this movie twice, with a nice long gap between viewings, which kind of lets me shake things out in my head in a better order. And I have watched the slightly clearer Netflix edit along with the theatrical edit. So I think it is time for me to consider what the film was supposed to be about.
Continue readingTGIF: Continuing Our Sexy Theme, Most Kissable Face!
I did a post earlier this week about kisses onscreen, now let us use our imagination and figure out which of these faces most and best deserves a kiss, onscreen or off.
Continue readingSilly Sunday: TGIF Sexy Librarian Gang War Repost
Why even try to top this, The Greatest Story I Ever Wrote???? Better to just repost it and bask in the brilliance once again.
Continue readingTGIF: Sexy Librarians! A Massive Marvel-esque Team-Up of the Sexiest Glasses Wearers in India!
My friend who is in library school has hit an academic stumbling block, so to encourage her I thought I should do a theme post. Sexy Librarians!
Continue readingFriday Classics (on Saturday): Rehna Hai Tera Dil Main, Dia Mirza and Us All Fall in Love with Maddy
Finally watched it! After having heard about it for years and years and years and years (the soundtrack is everywhere). And I’m kind of glad I waited, because this way I got to come at it having already seen a bunch more Gautham Menon movies and having a bit more of an idea of what he does.
Continue readingTGIF: Happy Audubon and Arbor Day! Stars With Birds and Trees!
This is a very silly idea, but sometimes I like silly ideas. In honor of Audubon Day (Audubon being a famous bird portrait painter), here are a bunch of Indian movie stars with Birds.
Continue readingThursday Tamil: Vettai! Madhavan and Arya in Police Uniforms for 2 Hours. And It’s On Netflix!
This was such a cute movie! Everyone was just so nice to each other and supportive and not mean. Even all the family dynamics that in another movie would be the source of much drama and trauma were just kind of laughed off. By the movie, but also by the characters. No lingering resentments or quest for vengeance, just a sort of “well, that’s how they are and that’s fine.” kind of attitude.
Continue readingAnother 2018 Award! Best Performance in a Bad Part
This suddenly occurred to me while showering, and we’ve still got 7 days before I close voting, so why not add another category? Oh, and if you haven’t voted in all the other categories yet, you still have time, you can find them all here.
Continue readingTGIT: By Popular Request, Shaggy-Haired Actors!
Tomorrow has to be Christmas-y, because that is The Rule, but I am sneaking in a random post just because I love you and I want you all to be happy.
Continue readingTGIW: Cuddly Men! The Most Popular Post, Because Everyone Loves a Dad-Bod/Maddy
I learned last Thanksgiving that no one really has the energy or interest to read or comment over the holiday. So, forget that! No deep thinking! I’m re-posting the most popular TGIFs of the past, we can “read” and discuss those. Okay, and maybe I throw up a post on the Mahabharat just for kicks.
TGIT Post RePost: An Important Question to Consider on this Thanksgiving Week-What Indian Man Looks Best in Blue Jeans? SRK or Salman or Maddy or John?
I put up a deep philosophical post about the Ramayan this morning. But enough of that! There are more important things to think about! And so I am re-posting my massive carefully considered and in depth discussion of which Indian man looks best in blue jeans. Answer: Probably either Maddy or John Abraham.
Savyasachi Review (SPOILERS): The Right Hand Doesn’t Know What the Left is Doing, Plotwise
Nice little Telugu movie, nothing special, I just watched it for Maddy. If you might be interested in seeing it, definitely read the No Spoilers review and skip this one (the movie works a lot better if you don’t know what is happening next). But if you won’t have a chance to see it for whatever reason, you can read this instead.
Savyasachi Review (No Spoilers): Naga Chaitanya is Cute but Madhavan is Cuter!
What a fun movie to watch on a lazy Saturday! I spent most of the day in bed, and then zipped over to the movie theater (missing the first ten minutes of the movie), and then zipped back home and now I get to write a fun little review of a fun little movie.
Trailer Round-Up! New Thugs Song, Kedarnath, and MADDY!!!!
I almost put up a post just for Kedarnath yesterday, but patience was rewarded and today there are two other trailers to go along with it.
Tuesday Tamil ReRun: My Favorite Mani Ratnam Movie, Kannathil Muthamittal/A Peck on the Cheek
When I first saw this, I had only seen a few Mani Ratnam movies and I really loved it. Now I have seen almost all of Ratnam’s movies, and I just appreciate it even more.
Kannathil Muthamittal, My Favorite Ratnam Movie
This film in particular apparently went to a bunch of international film festivals? The end result being, it is easily available from my library, and on a bunch of streaming websites. I mean, it’s also a really really good movie, but the reason I picked it to watch next was based purely on convenience.
Mani Ratnam Remake! Alai Payuthey/Saathiya Combined Review
I finally watched Alai Payuthey! After putting it off for years and years and years and years and years. Because I love Saathiya, and I didn’t want to risk having it spoiled. But turns out, they are two distinctly different movies! Although still similar to Saathiya, so this is going to be kind of a combined review. I talked about some of these differences a little already when I reported on the OK Jaanu/OK Kanmani remake thing.
TGIF: Happy Labor Day Weekend! Let’s Look at Laboring Men!!!
I just put this up back in May for international labor day. But in America we have our own special “we’re no commies” Labor Day in September. Oh well, it’s a fun post and this gave me a chance to update and add on to it again.
TGIF 2: Additional Chocolate Heroes!!!! The Special Limited Edition High Demand Options
Sorry! Work was NOT FUN today, so I didn’t get quite as complete and extensive as I should have in my original Chocolate heroes post. Which just gives me an excuse for an additional post, with the extra special ones, the imported handcrafted special fillings ones (I may have to dig my emergency chocolate box out of the freezer tonight).
TGIT: Labor Day Again! Laboring Men Rerun
Happy Thursday! I suddenly remembered that I had a Labor Day themed post I should rerun, and then I realized it was left over from September not May, the American Labor Day. Oh well, it’s a good post, I’m sure you won’t mind seeing it twice in a year.
Thursday Tamil: Priyamana Thozhi, the Radical Notion That Men and Women Can Be Friends
This was the movie that I picked to download to my phone for my long day of travel, and I have no regrets! It was very very very pleasant. And a little interesting. But not super interesting.
Breathe Amazon Series Final 2 Episodes! (SPOILERS): We End With Hope and a Hero
And we are at an end! No more charming-but-murderous Maddy, no more troubled-but-reliable Amit, no more police jeeps driving through the streets of Bombay. Well, unless you want to watch one of the many many movies that involve police jeeps driving through the streets of Bombay. I recommend Talaash! (part 1 here, part 2 here, part 3 here) Continue reading
TGIT: Thank You For The Retweets, Have a Maddy-Tovino-Unni Post
This is a very very very specific post. Our nice commentator/friend Angie got Maddy to read and retweet my Breathe reviews, so in return I shall give her a nice theme TGIT post. That theme being “here are all the men you like in a variety of outfits and poses”. And then on tomorrow I will do a “normal” TGIF post that more than one reader will enjoy.
Breathe Recap/Review (SPOILERS): Episodes 5 and 6, Opposing Forces Find their Places
Happy Thursday! Sometime around midnight tonight (I haven’t figured out the schedule exactly yet) the last episode of Breathe will come out. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a second series at some point, so the story may not necessarily be over, but at least the first part will be resolved. (part 1 of my coverage here and part 2 here)
