Partly because I want to add songs and stuff, but also because I really really want to tighten up that plot. And make Phoebe end up with the guy she is meant to end up with, not Paul Rudd.

Oh Pride! The happiest weekend of the year in terms of fanfic/silly content. The saddest weekend of the year in terms of not having loud drunk people sit next to me on the train. At least this year I have no reason to leave the house (my church lemonade stand/marching group can get along without me!), so I can just huddle up indoors and work on my epic Pride themed fanfic. I’m going to try to hit all the letters, L and G and B and T and Q and maybe H. If Indian film isn’t going to serve that audience, it is up to me to fill in the gap! Anyway, a great TGIF post topic, I think we can all agree.

Someone asked on one of my Rani posts if I thought she would ever act again opposite one of her 90s costars in a rom-com. And I think she might, but only if it was a really really good script. Rangoon Trailer: Bhardwaj Does Luhrmann With Nadia Wadia
Well, this is not what I was hoping for from a Bhardwaj movie! He is stylish, sure, but it is style that overlays real hardcore traditional messy Indian emotions. And Indian settings, gritty villages and remote farms. This thing though, at least based on the first trailer, is all style over substance. Luhrmann after Strictly Ballroom.

Not like a “mentor who is romantic” (that would be Shahrukh in Dear Zindagi) but as a mentor in the field of romance. He is not great at it, at least as shown in Dil Chahta Hai and, possibly, in this movie.

Parampara: A Movie About Tradition in the Long Tradition of Movies About Tradition
Parampara! Or, Tradition! (and now I have that Fiddler on the Roof song in my head) Anyway, this was a terrible terrible movie. And it was a Yash Chopra film! He must have run out of either money or interest at some point in the middle, because it is just confused and dull in a way that Yashji doesn’t usually let happen. In fact, I feel fairly comfortable saying this is probably the worst film Yash Chopra ever made.

Big news! Kareena and Saif just confirmed their pregnancy! Yaaaaay! I guess? I mean, it seems like something they both want, so it is nice that it is happening. Although I will miss Kareena onscreen.
Saif in Hospital! For a Silly Reason!
All the headlines are very exciting sounding, Saif rushed to the hospital from a film set, Kareena by his side, Soha issues a statement thanking us for our prayers, etc. etc. And then you hear what the injury was, and it all kind of deflates.

This is so unverified that it is almost certainly false. But also, so hot that everyone (including me) is reporting it anyway.
