What a lovely thing to wake up to! I had a really bad day yesterday, no particular reason, and then I woke up this morning to have these two lovely videos waiting to cheer me up and start the day off right.

Katching Up With Koffee: the Kapoor Kiddos!
Finally I am writing this post! It took long enough, I’m sorry. The Koffee posts are some of the most time consuming to write, and what with being super sick, I kept running out of energy to sit upright and be awake.
Continue readingTGIF: It’s Snowing, I’m Cold-Celebrities As Hot Drinks
I may be failing at my “only have coffee three times a week and then the caffeine doesn’t get to you” system. I am sitting in my office on a no-caffeine day dreaming of coffee. Maybe I should get a hot chocolate instead and see if I can trick myself.
Diwali Repost! Lajja, Telling Sita’s Story From Multiple Directions
This movie is just barely a classic. It’s not the best, it’s got quite a few massive flaws in fact, but it’s still really interesting and worthy of discussion. And the best part is how well it shows women rescuing themselves, very appropriate for today’s discussion.
Random Saturday Discussion Post: Stars versus Their Younger Selves! Who Aged Better and Who Aged Worse?
This came up in a discussion on Friday’s post, the unquestionable truth that Shahrukh looks better the older he gets. And then the challenge became, what other stars aged into better looks than in their youth?
Karan Johar Announces New Movie Takht, The Return of the Mughal and the Return of Poetry to Hindi Film
Okay Karan, I’ll let you make me stay up late one more night. I am so tired, but this can’t wait until morning.
Fanney Khan Review (SPOILERS): 1st World Problems Shoved Into a 3rd World Film
I already put up my No Spoilers review. You can read that if you are obsessed with avoiding spoilers, or you can read this. It’s a remake, so most of the plot is already is to find out, not like I am revealing big secrets here.
Fanney Khan Review (No Spoilers): Too Much Sincerity and Too Little Honesty
Well, this was not a good movie! But a not-good movie in that way where I could see the goodness struggling to break through, and then being suffocated by bad choices. Very frustrating, with a different cast and a slightly different script, this could have been something special.
TGIF: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow, Who Has the Best Hair?
I did eyes last week, and now I guess I am just moving up on the body? Seems like maybe it would make more sense to move down, but I have far stronger opinions about hair than I do about noses.
Saturday Small Talk: I’m Having Jalebis for Breakfast
Happy Saturday! I have nothing to do for the first weekend in ages. Thank goodness, because I was getting seriously sleep-deprived, and Dog Hazel was getting a bit lonely.
TGIF: Sanjay Inspired, Best Gym Looks
This comes right up to the line of acceptable objectification. But I think we are still okay, because it’s not like we are saying anything about their basic bodies, or comparing them with non-muscley guys (Abhishek, you are the best), or even muscle to muscle. Merely in terms of the clothes they have chosen to wear, and the moments they have allowed to be photographed, who is the best?
Fanney Khan Teaser: Who Here Has a Crush on Jazz Musician Anil Kapoor?
Me me, I do I do!!!!! Anil should always play his own age, it’s the only way. I am excited enough that he is getting a post all to himself because there aren’t any other teasers/trailers out today I want to talk about.
Race 3 Review (SPOILERS): A Party Planned for Salman, and the Guest of Honor Didn’t Really Show Up
I’m back! I already put up the No Spoilers review which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the film. The plot is a total mess, so knowing spoilers won’t really change anything. This review is probably more helpful for people who have seen the film and are confused (as I was), than for people curious what the film is about. Bottomline is, it’s about nothing!
Race 3 Review (No Spoilers): I am Sincerely Worried About Salman Khan
Watched it! With an Eid audience, which was super fun. We were very under dressed, but we got to admire everyone else’s nice clothes.
TGIF: Madhuri!!!! Which Madhuri is Your Favorite Madhuri?
Happy Madhuri’s birthday week (again)! I tried to come up with something clever and original, and all I can come up with is a bunch of photos of Madhuri, which isn’t clever or original at all. Oh well, she was very pretty.
Madhuri Day Interruption for an Important Notice: Race 3 Trailer!!!!!!!! Anil Has a Beard!!!
I’ll go back to Madhuri posts in a bit, but first, Race 3 Trailer!!!!!! FINALLY!!!! And the most important part…..Anil has a beard!
Sonam Wedding Epilogue! Start Your ‘Ships!
I can’t stop myself! I keep looking at Sonam wedding videos! And, thanks to the latest batch, I now have several competing “ships” that I am rooting for. And I am sharing them with you, in the hope of either getting companions on board the SS Relationship, or else getting a solid common sense mind to drag me off.
Sonam Wedding Final Update: 2am, Shahrukh and Salman are Both Here, Sonam’s in Her Comfy Clothes, Let’s Get This Party STARTED!!!!!
Those noble souls with cell phone cameras and twitter accounts, they are the real heroes! Making us feel like we are there partying with everyone else. Only, less hot and drunk and vaguely tired.
Sonam Report on Instagram
Well, this is going to be a multi-day thing. I’m exhausted and I’m not even invited. But I do have to do the very important job of judging everyone’s outfits, which is very tiring. Perhaps you all can help me? (oh, and Monday Malayalam is delayed because I had to do this instead. Sorry!)
Friday Classics: Lajja, For International Women’s Day
This movie is just barely a classic. It’s not the best, it’s got quite a few massive flaws in fact, but it’s still really interesting and worthy of discussion. And the best part is how well it shows women rescuing themselves, very appropriate for today’s discussion.
Sridevi Daily Review: Mr. India, Sridevi Plays the Strong Man
I already reposted everything already in the archives, for at least the next few days I will also put up new reviews. Sorry, mostly Hindi, they are just more easily available, and/or I have already watched them and can review without needing to set aside time to watch. (all Sridevi reviews here)
Shahid Day Finale! His First Notable Film Role!
“Notable” as in, you can actually recognize him in this. Something that I have never been able to do in Dil To Pagal Hai.
Dil Dhadakne Do: Aamir Khan is a Dog
But you didn’t think this post would show up on Aamir Day! But it is, he has more dialogue than anyone else, so why not?
Dil Dhadakne Do: A Family Film
Here’s a random post. There’s a big thought provoking scary hard important post coming tomorrow morning, but I wanted one more nice film discussion post first. And Angie reminded me that I had still not written about this film.
Happy Birthday Subhash Ghai! A Dozen Reasons I Love You!
A director! Not that common. But he is such an interesting and distinctive director that I can’t resist doing a post on him.
