This is a movie that is about the music and the moments (Zoya is such a beautiful director) more than the plot. So it isn’t that bad to SPOIL yourself. But if you want to go into it keeping some of the tension of not knowing what will happen, you can skip this review and read the other one instead.

Always so much news on Saturday! Which is nice, because it is easy to write these posts and then I don’t have to think of anything new.
I’m having an out of sorts day, mostly because I was up way too late last night (Hamilton). So I feel like something cheerful and silly. And I am dragging you all along with me! Oh, and fair warning, when I get sleepy I get MEAN. Or rather, I am always secretly this mean, my filter just doesn’t work as well when I get tired. So be prepared for some not very nice comments about famous people.

This is a lazy Friday post, it’s been a bit of a busy week at work. But it’s nice to have a chance to revisit a film that isn’t exactly deep and perfect, but is still interesting and worth talking about a little bit.

Happy Father’s Day! This is a repost from last year, but it is very long and worth rereading. And also very very good, I forgot how good this one was! There’s Rana and Shahrukh fighting in wet shirts, Ranbir and Sonakshi falling in love, Varun Dhawan and a baby, all kinds of good things. Also, it’s a Father’s Day Multiverse and all the stories are connected. And anyway, I am spending 6 hours at church today (service plus organizing coffee hour plus meeting), so I earned a rerun.
Happy Sunday! I wrote soooooooooooooooo much yesterday, and like good high quality stuff, reviews of Bhavesh Joshi and Veere Di Wedding. So this morning, I get to write short total trash, in a nice change of pace. Let’s pretend the world is a bad romance novel of the Judith Kranz type and rewrite reality!

I was going to come up with something clever, but now, simple is best. Every male star in every industry is struggling to make a decent box office, and Alia and the Savatri biopic sweep in and break records without breaking a sweat. (as always, figures from renttrack by way of bollywoodhungama)
This is an actual excellent film, and a very fun watch. It doesn’t really matter if you know what happens, you can still enjoy watching it play out, but if you like being surprised and having edge of your seat thrills, maybe wait and read the No Spoilers review first, and then this one after you have seen the movie.
Well, this was a shockingly good movie! I highly highly highly recommend it. Also, I am now in love with Vicky Kaushal.
