Well, I was able to watch the whole interview! After I read a bunch of excerpts already and so on. I encourage you to watch it for yourself, and then come back and give your own opinion.

I’m still trying to get back in the swing of “normal” posting after the whole Jab Harry Met Sejal massive month long series. Technically I don’t “owe” another review right now, I’ve done my Malayalam and Tamil/Telugu for the week, my DDLJ (yes, I am finally back to DDLJ) will be going up sometime tomorrow, Hindi Film 101 is happening like usual on Thursday, but it just doesn’t feel like enough! So, here, have a bonus tiny review of a silly silly loveable movie.

Happy Labor Day weekend! Which I always mix up with Memorial Day weekend. It’s America’s fault, everywhere else in the world celebrates Labor Day on May 1st, easy to remember. But noooooooooo, we can’t be like everyone else, we have to invent a random holiday with an impossible to remember date. Anyway, since it is our random holiday, let us celebrate Labor! That is, “What is the hottest job for each actor?” You can give your own opinions in the comments.

Happy Eclipse! Which I can’t see at all because it is super overcast here! And which is kind of okay with me, I wasn’t very excited about it in the first place. I don’t like it when the sun goes away! And if you feel the same, here are some songs to remind you of the sun.
What is it about men in ties? Maybe it’s because there’s a kind of “I’m a grown up who knows how to do stuff” feel to it. And then when they get loose, there’s a kind of “I’m about to get naked” feel to it. And it’s extra special in Indian films because western style suits are only for special occasions. Or, every single scene in Jab Harry Met Sejal.

I can never say that title without the big yelling-it-out-into-the-world defiance, AG-NEE-PATH!!!! Anyhoo, I think it’s Hrithik’s greatest performance, and the greatest movie he has been in (well, except for Bang Bang, my heart’s choice). And what makes it really impressive is that he (and the filmmakers) were actually able to improve on an Amitabh movie, one of the Amitabhiest of them.
Huh. There really aren’t that many navy-based movies in India. At least compared to America. Although Navy-movies is kind of an odd genre, maybe it’s America that’s the weird one for having so many. On the other hand, plenty of songs with boats! Because, similar to songs with cars, it’s a nice way to get the hero and heroine alone.
I just watched this movie again, with someone who hadn’t seen it before, and it confirmed once again that Hrithik in the second half is really kind of dangerously angry. And that I find him much more appealing when dangerously angry than I do when just sweet and kind of dumb!
It’s been a while since my last fanvid post, and I recently discovered that I have a fanvid maker in the comments! Which inspired me to dust off my youtube searching skills, and I have dug up gold! Hrithik themed GOLD!!!
