I saw Nadhiya before in Mirchi, and was stunned by how the “mother” actress was so much more beautiful and interesting than the love interests. That is even more true in this film, to the point that it is almost acknowledged in the script, that Pawan Kalyan was more interested in bringing his aunt home, than in spending time with her daughter who he professed to be in love with.
I’ve down my 16 favorite videos, and my 15 favorite fanvideos. How about 14 favorite photos? That seems reasonable, right? It’s just now hitting me that I have committed to coming up with a new thing to countdown every day. This is going to be harder than I thought!

As you may have picked up from my Aval Shanmughi and Ambe Sivam posts, I have a hard time with Kamal Haasan. Yes, he is a brilliant actor. Yes, he has movie star charisma. But it just seems like his characters have to be so perfect and so wonderful, that no one else is allowed to do anything. But this Kamal Haasan movie, this one I liked!
Yaaaaay! Karan says something! And it is personal and passionate and well-written and completely serious. Not his usual “Koffee With Karan” persona, that other side of Karan, the one that comes out when he really cares about something.

I’m not quite sure why this is even reported, because there’s the whole story, and then it ends with “but then it didn’t happen and may never have been a real thing after all!” I guess the story is that it was even a little bit believable to begin with?
The biggest news is really the meta-news that there are 3 news stories about ADHM to one about Shivaay. Clearly, the people who run English language industry news sites are pretty sure that their readers care more about ADHM then Shivaay news.
Two very different movies! Both of which released “dialogue” trailers. Although, I guess all American trailers are dialogue trailers? Unless they are action trailers, I suppose.

Okay, I am gently dipping my toe back to the news pool, after being more or less out of it for the past few days. Two nice simple easy stories.
I’m still sick. Way too sick to deal with anything emotional or challenging like a post about a movie, or even gossip news or box office. Instead, I am sitting around listening to super soothing songs. Just in case you are ever this sick (and I hope you aren’t! This is terrible!), I’ll share my play list with you.

Unfortunately for poor Ashok Kumar, his brother Kishore died on his birthday. After which Ashok stopped celebrating his birthday. I didn’t stop celebrating it, but I will acknowledge Ashok’s wishes by also putting up a post in honor of Kishore’s death. And also, I am still really sick and a Kishore themed post seems like something I can do without thinking too much.

But I think I am up to writing a little narrative of Ashok Kumar’s life.
