Happy Sunday! I am about to go to church for a Sunday School committee meeting, followed by Sunday school, followed by the fall involvement fair, followed by the services committee meeting. And this whole time I will know in my heart that I am secretly the kind of person who has written a “Shahrukh Khan as a prostitute” fanfic.
I am still just gently dipping my toe back in the news pool, so I expect you in the comments to provide more information and background than I have after skimming headlines for the first time in a week. But there are some stories just too big to miss!
Hello blog people! I have nothing to say to you today. Normally Saturday is when I put up reviews of the movie I saw the night before, but my friend Dina was busy this week, so I didn’t see anything. And now I have to run around doing a million things so there isn’t really any time for me to write a full blog post on something else. Well, not yet. Maybe tonight. In the meantime, you can have what is now becoming traditional, the weekend post that just describes my day and maybe shows you a song you haven’t seen in a while.

Okay, how can I say this classily? There is a certain kind of pose which seems to say “yes, climb on top of me and enjoy yourself”. That is the kind of pose that I am looking for this week. You know, so you can pretend you are kneeling on top of them throwing rose petals or something in a chaste and romantic manner. (I promise, next week will be something silly and innocent again! THANK GOODNESS, promotions are starting up again for things. Otherwise, I have no content! Although, just you wait in about 3 weeks when we are drowning in “first looks” and “teaser trailers” for everything for the holiday season, I will be complaining about having too much content and not enough time. Well, now I know where all the old-school Hindi romance went, it’s in the Telugu films! Not really, I can tell this is a slightly different kind of romance and feel of a film from the Hindi ones, it’s clearly a separate tradition of romance. But it’s very refreshing to watch anything that feels unapologetically and unironically and un-cynically romantic.
The box office figures are sooooooooooooooo bad right now, that it made me think about why exactly they are so bad, and if this is a good thing or bad thing. And I landed on “bad” and also “it’s the audience’s fault”. So get ready for me to get deep and complex towards the end!

Because I vaguely remembered hearing it was good plus, Manju Warrior!!! And it is good! And it is Manju Warrior, like ALL Manju Warrior! Her character is the whole film.
