Remember a couple of days ago when Kangana asked why Hrithik’s Daddy had to come to his rescue? And I said it’s not really a Hrithik issue, it’s how the world works? I am CORRECT! Now Salim has come to Salman’s rescue. Oh, and speaking of old guys everyone listens too, Om Puri is in trouble as well.
Really, this isn’t much of a news item at all. But I can throw in some more details about the rumored project, at least? Try to fluff it up with that?
Do you think it’s possible someone at Eros is reading my posts and going “hey, this white lady’s right! We shouldn’t spend money on Bhansali, it’s a bad bet!”? Do I have that much power? What should I do with it next?
All of these are more “controversies” than actual controversies, the very definition of a tempest in a teapot. But if I mush them all together into one post, then they are worth discussing.
I said “historic monument” as a joke about Mannat, but that’s actually what the controversy is about! Mannat’s historic status.
Yaaay! The biggest scandal of the year keeps rolling on! This makes me so happy. News about UTV going bankrupt and casting announcements are fun, but I need the nice juicy gossip every once in awhile to keep me going.
I already put up the kind of dull industrial news for the day, but there was some other news, of the more personal and gossipy variety.
I’m not sure how much of this I believe, but at least some parts of it seem easy to verify, and it’s interesting to think about how else they could be interpreted.

Yesterday I reported that rumor that Salman called Raj Thackeray to ask for mercy for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees for the good of the film industry. Today, following up on that, Salman really really put his neck on the line.
Tiny little news, but worth it because it gives me an excuse to put up a pretty pretty John Abraham photo. Which, frankly, is probably why Bollywoodhungama posted it too.
I’m tired of sifting through the news to find the stories that are confirmed and reliable and also seem believable based on previous news stories! I’m going wild and reporting a bunch of completely unverified stuff that people made up because it sounds good!
I thought there was news today, but then I dug into it, and yeah, there’s no news. It’s just rumors and suppositions with famous names thrown in to make me click the link. Oh well.
I almost feel bad, I’ve been putting up so many posts beating the war drums against the corporate run studios, it kind of seems mean. But then, they’re corporations! They don’t have feelings.
Ha! I am both artistically and financially correct! Kirti agrees with my Pink review, and Sajid agrees with my theory as to the future of Indian film studios.
It’s not nearly as egregious as choosing Jeans (seriously, what were they thinking?) or choosing nothing the year Pinjar and Tehzeeb and Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon came out, but it’s still got that little tinge of “wait, what?” which always comes with these announcements.
Not big news, really. Okay, a couple of these things might be big news. But mostly it is just confirmation that things are moving along in the direction we already thought they were headed.
Somehow, it is both rainy and overcast, and also 90 degrees out today. And Banjo isn’t playing anywhere near me, so I don’t get to see a new movie tonight. And generally life is bleak and depressing. The Shivaay love song just came out. And, thank goodness, I think it explains what’s going on with one of the three very very young heroines. And possibly one of the other ones as well.
This is so cool! It’s like I can control the universe! We’ll know for sure if there is an announcement of a new SRKajol movie in the next few days. Or a new movie about horses.
I really don’t care most of the time about what happens in the American gossip news. I mean, after getting used to the crazy rumors that fly around in the Indian film industry, all the American gossip just seems kind of bland. But there are two stories today that are so big, I actually care about them!!!
Yes, I am going to do a post for every Mirzya song video. Because they are all SO GOOD!!! Much better than the movie as a whole will be, I am sure.
Okay, not in the same way, but both couples just announced a new move that Aditya and Rani did first. Truly, Adi and Rani are the leading couple of Hindi film!
