Teaser and title are finally out for the Aanand L Rai movie! I am not sure yet what I think. Maybe you tell me what you think and that will help.
Well, it finally got approved. And I kind of agree with everything the Censors did. At least, as it is presented by them and the spin they are putting on it. I am sure there are all kinds of political realities on the ground that I am missing which makes them not so great. Oh, and I think we can aaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllll agree that swapping Vaani for Shraddha is a disaster of epic proportions.
The holidays (Christmas, Salman’s birthday, Anushka’s wedding) are finally over and people are doing newsworthy things again.
More photos are out, and rather than updating the previous post which you may not notice, I am putting out a whole new one.
Getting this out of the way right at the beginning, I am not a fan of Anushka’s lehenga. It’s just kind of boring, and the waistband is weird. But the other clothes are worth looking at!
Merry Christmas again! I thought I should take a break from family time to give you all a quick update on important Christmas news items!
Salman is everywhere today! Sometimes actually mentioned, sometimes just implied. I guess that’s fair, it is his Birthday Week after all.
Well this is an interesting batch of news in terms of changing industrial forces! Managers, story rights, all kinds of things that didn’t used to exist and may not necessarily result in a different or superior end product.
At one point, Shahrukh was rumored to be coming. But it looks like they scaled back after Shashi’s death. Which is good, because if Shahrukh had come, I would be SO JEALOUS! What does that baby have that I don’t have? Why would Shahrukh go to his party and not mine?
Trailers! I wake up and there are trailers! How exciting! Let’s see if I can watch and write about them real quick before I have to leave for work.
I’m trying to put up tiny little news posts every day even when I don’t have much to say and there isn’t much news. So enjoy these two small non-news news items!
I’m going to try to be better about putting out news posts for these smaller stories just so you can discuss them. Although also, REMINDER, you can always mention these stories or post links to them in the Wednesday Watching post. That’s what it is there for! Even if it’s not Wednesday. Just like you can always ask me any questions on Monday Morning Questions, even if it’s not Monday.
This is one of those “I’m not a news source and can’t report the actual facts, but I can give interesting discussion around them” kind of posts. I don’t know who’s in or out of the film right now, not for sure. I don’t know the details of the filming schedule or anything like that. But I can delve a little deeper into what has been reported.
Okay, the Aamir story has finally reached the point that I feel like it is worth reporting instead of ignoring. And the point when I am hitting myself in the forehead and going “well, duh! Why didn’t I put that together before?”
Remember how I was so sick yesterday I had to put up rerun posts? Keep that in mind, it may have made me a bit irritable.
New teaser! Which adds almost nothing to what we already knew. But hey, it’s a week to the release, they could release anything at this point and we would all talk about it.
And the photos are really pretty! They are both super smilely and happy looking, which is how I like my wedding photos, instead of stressed and distressed looking.
I watched it! Meaning I am now backed up on all my other things. This is what I do for you, the vocal Shahrukh fan readers. My poor Malayalam readers are now going to be mad at me because I didn’t have time to write my Monday review.

There’s nothing I find really exciting in the news, but there’s a lot of little things we can talk about. Mostly casting announcements.
I know it seems like I’ve done way too many Shashi posts, but he is the only news right now, the biggest news right now. Because in the Hindi film fraternity, a death like this has an impact beyond just grief, there is a process to it that dominates everything for a few days.
First of all, blessings on Hotstar for making this available, and blessings on Shahrukh for agreeing to do something now, during my all time lowest view periods when I really really need content. Now, on to the discussion! Of the first two episodes, with Alia and Deepika.
Very romantic in a particular way, with Salman putting together and surprising Katrina with wonderful things. Which makes me interested in their character dynamics a little bit. Especially because I just re-watched Ek Tha Tiger and it fits nicely with how their relationship was established in that.
