Okay, favorite songs, favorite fanvids, favorite photos, saddest facts, happiest facts, time for a big one! Top 11 movies (was going to be 10, but I couldn’t decide what to drop, so I moved it up a day)!
For the 16th I did song videos, for the 15th I did fan videos, for the 14th I did photos, and yesterday for the 13th I did unlucky sad facts. Today, to balance that, 12 happy facts!
Kind of a downer topic, I know. But I felt like there should be some actual content, not just happy videos and pictures!
I’ve down my 16 favorite videos, and my 15 favorite fanvideos. How about 14 favorite photos? That seems reasonable, right? It’s just now hitting me that I have committed to coming up with a new thing to countdown every day. This is going to be harder than I thought!

I am super sick, so my brain head typing fingers aren’t really working. I can’t handle anything complicated, like my usual “reasons I love you style birthday posts”. But I think I am up to writing a little narrative of Ashok Kumar’s life. Even if I can’t handle all the many many news stories that are coming out and I should really be talking about (nothing huge, like Shahrukh getting a divorce or something, but I’d really like to talk about the Censor Board certificate for Ae Dil at some point in the distant future when I no longer feel like death).

As always, one day before Amitabh. I’m going to get super lame and cheesy for a second, and make a bad joke: right from the beginning, she’s been chasing after him. And now, to make up for it, I’m going to try to come up with 12 reasons to love her for her birthday (I briefly considered 62, but then I’d end up reusing a bunch for Amitabh tomorrow).
This is an exhausting weekend! I have my conference, and then Rekhaji’s birthday, and then Amitabh’s birthday, and also Dussehra. You are going to get to sick of event posts! So I am just going to do a quick fun one for Milkha and Gauri.
Vinod Khanna! I am conflicted about him. But it’s his 70th birthday, I will see if I can come up with a dozen reasons to love him.
Almost missed this one! Which isn’t that big of a deal, JP Dutta is important but not THAT important. Only, I really really love LOC Kargil (check out my two part post of favorite quotes!), and I am pretty fond of Refugee too. So I might as well scrape up a half dozen or so reasons to celebrate and love him on his birthday.
I thought I was done with birthdays! And then I saw #ShaheedBhagatSingh trending on twitter. So, one more post! But since this isn’t really film person, it’s just going to be a quick thing.
I just finished my three part Yash Chopra post, and then Ranbir Kapoor pops up, and now Lata! Gah! Stop being born, people! Anyway, Lata will have to be content with 16 reasons I love her for the 16 notes in the Indian scale. I’m not doing another 80+ after I just did it for Yashji.
Happy Birthday Ranbir! I’m not giving you 33 reasons, because you haven’t been in enough movies for me to come up with them! Plus, I am worn out after my 84 for Yash Chopra. But, I will give you 12! And maybe, if Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is really good, you will earn 34 for next year.
