Just like Happy New Year and “Sharaabi” or Dilwale and “Premika”, Karan Johar is keeping the buzz going and celebrating a successful first week of ADHM by releasing another song. But he must be sitting on another song video, because this is not the one I was waiting for!
Tabu is 45 today! Not the biggest star, at least not any more, but one I am inordinately fond of. So, 14 reasons I love her, for the age she was when she made her first film.
I saw the existing trailer on the big screen last night before Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (second watch, many new thoughts!). And seeing it on the big screen, not on my little youtube window, one thing became clear: I really don’t like this movie.

Aish is not my favorite actress ever, or my favorite public persona person. But on her birthday, I am going to follow a “if you can’t say anything nice…” policy, and just focus on her dancing, which is incredible. So, slightly slowing on the watching/writing about new movies this week, since all my evenings are devoted to the World Series. I’m not much of a Cubs fan, more as a kind of family tradition (4th generation! On both sides!) than as a thing I enjoy. But I do make a point of watching/listening to every game if they make it to post-season. Which has only happened 4 times in my lifetime, so it’s not a real big commitment.
Kaabil trailer! I would say “hey! What’s with all the trailers this week?” But I know what’s with all the trailers, they are coming out a couple of days before the Diwale releases, so there will be buzz and excitement to see them on the big screen attached to the big Diwale releases.
Shahrukh is known for being brand ambassador for anything and everything. I’ve listed a few of his ads before, there may be some repeats in here, but here are 8 of the best I’ve been able to find (I make no promises about these being the best in existence, because I haven’t seen every SRK ad ever).

So much more excited about the Dear Zindagi trailer! Partly because it is just the second one, whereas ADHM is now on, what, the 513th trailer? Remember how excited I was back when there were just a couple ADHM trailers? Yeah, that’s worn off by now.
A bit of a tricky one. I feel like I can’t just ignore it, but I’m also not sure I really know him well enough to do a good post. If he were a real life person, he would be one that I just make 2 dozen chocolate chip cookies and a card for his birthday, because everyone likes cookies. Not like a good friend that I actually make something real for (oh! That reminds me, my best friend’s birthday is in a few weeks, I have to get to work!). So I’ll do the blog post equivalent of 2 dozen cookies, and just throw together a dozen reasons I love him.
So, this is the movie that everyone is like “The best movie of all time!”? So far, I’m not seeing it. A good movie certainly, probably a very good movie. I’m just not having my mind BLOWN by what I am seeing.
Oh man, it looks SO GOOD!!! Dear Zindagi, not ADHM. ADHM looks the same as before, this new teaser provided no new info.
