Happy beginning of the Christmas season! After Shahrukh’s birthday, that’s the official start of the next holiday time, right? Anyway, it is for me! And since it is now the Christmas season, it is time for the annual DCIB Christmas Giveaway Contest! I am VERY EXCITED!!!!!
This is a post that has been burbling around in my brain for a while, and I thought I might as well just post it. Plus, it’s been a while since I put up one of those posts that gets everyone talking and angry with me/aggressively agreeing with me.
Boy, after not much happening in October, the birthdays are coming fast and furious in November! Anyway, I can’t ignore Tabu!
It’s been a long time since I went to a movie theater and it was so crowded I could hardly find a seat! That was exciting. And I don’t think it was just about the quality of this film (although it is very very good), I think it is also a “right time” thing.
Happy first TGIF post after Shahrukh month! And it will be (almost) Shahrukh free! Because he isn’t always “cuddly”. In the “teddy bear” kind of way.

My sister, the teacher, celebrates Shahrukh and Amitabh in her own special way. On their birthdays every year, her homework problems have a very special theme. Also, there is background music playing during class. And depending on the ethnic make-up of the group, they either really get into it (like when she was teaching in New Jersey and the class was 2/3rds desi) or are super confused. Anyway, this year she is letting me share with you all, so we can all learn about Shahrukh, and also math.

Yet another disastrous video. It’s the stupid sun! Which is not coming out any more. And the only way I can get the right kind of light is if I use sunlight. Oh well, again, the content is good even if the visuals are fuzzy.
Good morning! Shahrukh waited to come out to greet his fans until I was awake, which was terribly considerate of him. Well, for me. Not for the poor fans who had been waiting all night and day. But that’s just part of the November 2nd story, what else has been happening?

Aish is not my favorite actress ever, or my favorite public persona person. But on her birthday, I am going to follow a “if you can’t say anything nice…” policy, and just focus on her dancing, which is incredible. Yaaaaaay! For the 1 day, the final day, here is the 1 way that Shahrukh makes me feel. You ready to get spooooooooooky? Well, kind of. I can’t really think of many super scary Indian films. Partly because I just don’t like scary/horror films. And I already blew my idea for a post on not-so-scary songs that I just really like from bad horror movies back on Friday the 13th. Happy 2 Days to Shahrukh’s birthday! Yesterday was his 3 favorite people in his life, today is my 2 favorite people in his life.
My sister lives in Maine where, thanks to a massive record breaking windstorm, 64% of the state is now without power. And has been for 24 hours. While the electrical company focuses on getting power back to places like hospitals (spoiled hospitals!) and she shivers in front of her fireplace (this is why houses with fireplaces are the best!), I thought the least I could do is a songs post that she can read on her phone (no power for the internet router).
This was such an exhausting weekend. I saw Nivin’s new movie on Friday, then this on Saturday, then ran around for 9 hours on Sunday. I’m so glad that all I have this week is Ittefaq. Although I did enjoy this movie, and Nivin’s movie, it’s just a lot to squeeze in.
