I am writing this in my new apartment on my new internet sitting on my old couch and facing my old TV, but with a new-to-me coffee table (rescued from the trash, where all the best furniture comes from). Also, a dishwasher! Anyway, I thought I would take a break from unpacking boxes to tell you how the move went, since I have been pestering you with posts about it.

I was all set to drag myself to Sarkar 3, but then the showtimes were no good yesterday, so Dina and I couldn’t do our usual movie followed by podcast. And today I have to run errands and plan a Sunday School class and do all kinds of other things that make me not want to waste 2 and a half hours in a movie theater. So, yay! MovieMavenGal reviewed it for me!
I watched the TED talk! It was good. I made notes. But thinking about it later, the most important part was the very first thing he said, “Namaste”.
Happy Cinco de Mayo! A Mexican holiday, which inspires me to find every vaguely Hispanic song in the history of Indian film. There are not many. But I was able to find a thematic 5 videos.
Well, this was agony. I saw on twitter before work that it would be coming out this morning, and then I had to wait and wait and wait until I was finally able to watch it when I got home. And now I have!
I don’t know if anyone pays as much attention to my scheduling of these things as I do. But if you do, you will have noticed that I put out my early/midmorning post today, and my middle-of-the-day post, but I missed my evening post. Happy May Day! You know how India has all these holidays that are very regional specific and how neat that is? Well, May Day is an international holiday now, but it started right in my hometown, so I thought I should celebrate it. And I don’t have the day off work, so I can’t join the many many many protests. But I can do a theme post!
I usually like to have some kind of over-arching theme for these. But, nope! The theme is “I had a really good run of fanvids linking to other good fanvids on youtube”. And I want to share them with you before I lose track of all the links.
I can’t resist joining in, even though I can’t actually watch the film (stupid job!). So I am going to put up a post at the exact second that Baahubali 2 starts running all over the world, from the Chicago suburbs to the Bombay movie palaces.
I turn on twitter this morning, and boom! Romance everywhere! Bigger version of the Shahrukh poster (still no title), new Half-Girlfriend song, and people are still tweeting about the last Raabta song.
Oops, I almost missed this! It’s Varun Dhawan’s birthday! And I know that TJ Stevens in the comments will be mad at me if I ignore it. Especially since it is a big one, 30!
