It’s Saturday, no one really wants to think today, right? So, Fanvid time! I did 15 last year, this time I am adding on another 11.

Happy 27 Days to SRK’s Birthday! 27 Images From His Favorite Photographer
I had a moment of fear that I wouldn’t be able to find a full 27. But nope! I totally could! It wasn’t even hard, because they are all so good.
Happy 28 Days to Shahrukh’s Birthday! 28 Romance Movies, Part 4
Well, this has been a fascinating journey! I’m kind of tempted to do another series on, like, Shahrukh action films or something. (part 1 here, part 2 here, part 3 here)
Happy 28 Days to SRK’s Birthday! 28 Romances, Part 3
I am finding this fascinating, looking at the slow progression of the Shahrukh Khan romance over the years. Not every romance, but almost all, the ones I find interesting to talk about. (part 1 here, part 2 here)
Ittefaq Trailer! And, More Interestingly, Ittefaq Publicity Campaign!
Karan, Shahrukh, and other people all tweeted the trailer at the same time late last night. Which is interesting on its own. But also, the trailer is kind of good!
Happy 28 Days to SRK’s Birthday! 28 SRK Romances, Part 2
I just thought this would be an interesting experiment, to take a brief look at 28 different films in terms of the romance plots. and then try to come to some conclusions. I did the first 7 already, now let’s look at another 7.
28 Shahrukh Romances, Part 1: Trickster SRK
This came up because of a comment in our JHMS discussion yesterday. About how it felt like in some ways the happy ending for “Harry” resolved a lot of unhappy endings for similarly noble Shahrukh lover characters. Which got me thinking about what might be the same and different in how SRK romances play out. So, let’s look at an assortment of romances. 7 at a go, because I want to discuss them in depth and then discuss them cumulatively.
DDLJ Scene By Scene Part 30: Shahrukh as the Man in the Window
Happy Wednesday! It is Shahrukh month, and I am still doing the DDLJ posts in addition to the 31 days o’ SRK posts. Mostly because there are a lot of people who read the DDLJ posts for the pure boring analysis, not the SRK love, so it’s kind of counter-programming. (full index of DDLJ coverage here)
Happy 29 Days to Shahrukh’s Birthday! Best Songs
Yesterday I did a “serious” post, best films, so today I get to do another “silly” one! 29 songs of Shahrukh.
JHMS Deleted Scene! No Words, No Subtitles Needed
Well, now SRK is just exhausting me. I write this whole long thing for his birthday today, and he surprises me with another scene I need to discuss! It’s too much! I know he loves me, but the man has to let me alone sometimes. (full index of JHMS coverage here)
Happy 30 Days to Shahrukh’s Birthday! Top 30 Best Films
This is considerably longer than it was last year, but we are going to have a string of light posts over the next few days, so I thought I should try to give you something a little more substantive today. And you can all argue with me in the comments about what I left out and what is in the wrong order and so on and so on.
Happy Shahrukh Birthday Month, Day 1 (of 31)! 31 Gifs for Us All
I sense a disturbance in the world of my blog. On one side, I have many many voices crying out in joy at the thought of 31 full days of SRK posts. And then on the other side, I have not quite as many voices crying out in despair. So, here’s the deal. I will continue my Monday and Tuesday reviews. And my Friday Classics. And I’ll throw in news posts and so on. It won’t be all SRK all the time. But all TGIF and Sunday fanfic content will be replaced by SRK focused items. I mean, most of the people who read those are SRKians anyway, right? And every day there will be a special SRK birthday post counting down 31 to 1. Some of them very very silly (as this one will be), and some of them serious (for instance, best performances). If you don’t absolutely hate SRK, at least read the headline topic for the post before deciding not to read it, there will be good content in here.
New JHMS Deleted Scene! “Romantic Engagement” Comes Back
Shahrukh must be celebrating his one-month-before birthday too! And he has given us/me a little gift, another deleted scene. And a really juicy one with lots to discuss! (full index of JHMS coverage here)
What Shahrukh Khan Means to the Overseas Audience
Tomorrow is the start of Shahrukh’s birthday month, which means you will have to suffer through 30 Days o’ SRK on this website. But before we get into that, I want to try to explain why he means so much to some of us, why a good half of my blog audience is reacting to the news of 30 Days o’ SRK with silent cheers. At least, what I think it is.
TGIF: Happy Coffee Day!
Happy Coffee Day! I will not be celebrating, because I never have coffee on Fridays so I can sleep in on Saturday (unless, maybe I can make an exception because I will have to stay up super late for Judwaa tonight? No, better not)
New JHMS Deleted Scene! And New Theory! (both courtesy of Claudia)
This whole post is basically Claudia. She alerted me to the new deleted scene and, a few days back, she sent me a very lengthy detailed analysis that I have been trying to find a good place to post. And so I am putting her video, and her analysis, together with my analysis of the video, and calling it a post. (full Jab Harry Met Sejal coverage index here)
DDLJ Scene By Scene Part 29: The Man in the Kitchen
Welcome back to DDLJ watch! And this is a very very big scene. Not in terms of plot, but in terms of changing how we see our hero. (full index of DDLJ coverage here)
Another Deleted Scene!!!! Shahrukh Must Be Very Concerned About my View Counts
Remember how all the teaser trailer releases were coded love messages from SRK to me? Well, I think these deleted scenes might be as well! He knew my view count was going down with no big releases for the past few weeks and, to help me out, he is posting these videos. Oh, and also to help me, a nice commentator has given us a TRANSLATION!!!! (full coverage of Jab Harry Met Sejal here)
JHMS Alert!!!! Deleted Scene!
Apparently, the move was going to be even sexier. And then they cut this part, no doubt in fear of law suits because of fainting and heart attacks in the theater. And also, it doesn’t quite work as well with the plot. (full JHMS coverage here)
Om Shanti Om Mini-Review, Everything is Fake But the Feelings
Well, my view counts are down! Stupid bad Hindi new releases, ruining my blog. Anyway, in a painfully obvious attempt to woo readers, I am putting up a tiny quickie review of one of the big hits of the past that I haven’t happened to cover before. Om Shanti Om!
Silly Sunday: Shahrukh as a Male Prostitute, Alia as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Amitabh in a Sci-fi Film
Happy Sunday! I am about to go to church for a Sunday School committee meeting, followed by Sunday school, followed by the fall involvement fair, followed by the services committee meeting. And this whole time I will know in my heart that I am secretly the kind of person who has written a “Shahrukh Khan as a prostitute” fanfic.
News Round-Up: Shahrukh and Vikram-Vedha, Mahira and Ranbir, RK Studios Will Rebuild
I am still just gently dipping my toe back in the news pool, so I expect you in the comments to provide more information and background than I have after skimming headlines for the first time in a week. But there are some stories just too big to miss!
DDLJ Scene By Scene Part 28: Shahrukh Plays the Woman
Part 28! Missed it until now because I ran out of time to pull screengrabs. But now I am back! And I am ready to give my massive theory of the second half of the film. What fun! (full index of DDLJ coverage here)
TGIF: Men Lying Down
Okay, how can I say this classily? There is a certain kind of pose which seems to say “yes, climb on top of me and enjoy yourself”. That is the kind of pose that I am looking for this week. You know, so you can pretend you are kneeling on top of them throwing rose petals or something in a chaste and romantic manner. (I promise, next week will be something silly and innocent again! I don’t mean to be running a soft porn site, truly!)
Luck By Chance Annotated Edition Part 8: The Ending! Friendly Appearance from Shahrukh
And now we are at an end! In a very long complicated section, complete with special guest star (I won’t make you wait, it’s Shahrukh). (full index of Luck By Chance coverage here)
