This is essentially a joint post. I am not lucky enough to have a copy of this book, but Gwen from the comments is and put up excerpts for us from each section. YAAAAAY! I want to post them here to make sure you all see them, and also add on what I can, that is, a little more background information about each film/director.
I just spent 4 hours straight on work phone calls, I am tired, I don’t want to write a think-y post, I just want to be happy and indulgent! If you are in a similar state, I am here for you with sexy videos.
Boy, this party just lasts FOREVER, doesn’t it? Oh well, it is a Punjabi wedding party, I guess that is realistic. At least the scene right after is kind of interesting. Earlier today, Claudia in the comments of my Silly Sunday post requested a mature Shahrukh-Kajol love story. And then I sat down to watch my weekly Malayalam film, Bhaskar the Rascal, and BOOM! That’s the romance!!! It’s PERFECT!!! And so I am about to spoil an entire film, just so you can see how right I am.
So, this week, I had 3 half-baked ideas (first and second from conversations in comments with Asmita, 3rd from conversation with Joyomama), and no fully baked ideas. So I am going with the 3 half-baked.
This is a very round about post. I asked my friend (who requested that I link back to her instagram as her credit for always helping with these posts, so here it is) what I should do for my Friday post, as I ask her every Friday. And her response was “Travel!” because she is going out of town today. Only there aren’t really a lot of super great travel photos, so I ended up narrowing it down to “travel on motorcycles”.
I am VERY EXCITED! Soon, I will be stunningly beautiful(er), and also have the eyesight of Superman. Or at least, I will look slightly different to myself when I look in the mirror every morning for a few weeks until I get used to it. Anyway, seemed as good a reason as any to do a songs post in honor of glasses and glasses wearers.
How is this even possible? Oh, and THANK YOU to P in the comments for telling us. But mostly, how is this even possible?
While I celebrate by cleaning my apartment, enjoy this songs that celebrate labor! And, hopefully, will help inspire me to labor myself.
There was a comment on last week’s post, by Asmita I think, about liking it when men are surrounded by strong women. Which sent me down this whole rabbit hole in a direction I don’t think she anticipated, and I have come out the other side with a simple plot in mind that can be applied to any hero. I am excited!
It’s not terribly exciting, but I thought I might as well tell you so you aren’t sitting around going “What’s wrong? Why isn’t she posting?” It’s just because I’ve got a ton of errands that I’ve been putting off so I am driving around in The World, instead of sitting at home blogging.
Happy Labor Day weekend! Which I always mix up with Memorial Day weekend. It’s America’s fault, everywhere else in the world celebrates Labor Day on May 1st, easy to remember. But noooooooooo, we can’t be like everyone else, we have to invent a random holiday with an impossible to remember date. Anyway, since it is our random holiday, let us celebrate Labor! That is, “What is the hottest job for each actor?” You can give your own opinions in the comments.
I think this is it, isn’t it? It’s such a tiny focused movie, we have the two characters and their future together, and there isn’t really any other large area to talk about. Anyway, here is where we can all fight over our visions of Harry. I’ll give mine, which is neither wrong nor right but just how I see it, and you can give yours which is also neither right nor wrong. We are finally here! This is going to be another epic length post, I can just feel it. But it won’t finish everything. Because I have decided, the very very end of the film is going to get it’s own little post. How am I going more slowly through this than through Bahubali 2 (total of 26 parts, definitely feels like this one’s going to be more than that)? Oh that’s right, I skipped the sad bits of Bahubali. Hmm. After the full flush of creativity last week, I don’t really have much this week. I need ideas! Give me help in the comments! Your favorite movie, book, actor couple anything to start me off. For instance, this week I am starting off from a casual comment DilDeewana made about how she loves Emma for the you’ve-been-standing-in-front-of-me-all-along-and-I-just-realized-I-love-you! trope (also, DilDeewana, make sure to watch Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na if you haven’t already). Happy A Gentleman day!!!! Such an odd title for the film. Not quite sure what it is intended to evoke for the audience. But I will focus on one small part of it, that very Western style of gentleman, the man in the tuxedo. And since they are all wearing essentially the same thing this week, we get to have a little “who wore it best” poll in the comments!
