Asmita just alerted me in the comments that Tom Alter has passed away. Which immediately brought up his face in my head. He has been in sooooooo many movies. And he did such a good job in them! (If you are interested in seeing a recent performance, he was in M Cream which is now on Netflix)

Another week, more of the same. Hindi big releases are record breakingly bad, small releases hold steady in weeks 4-5-6. And Telugu films look good by comparison but really aren’t. Monday Malayalam: Avidathepole Ivideyum, I Am Still in Love With 80s Mohanlal
Oh young Mohanlal! Why are you so wonderful? One of my first Malayalam films was Aalkkoottathil Thaniye which is mostly a Mammootty film, but in his two scenes, Mohanlal stole the show for me. And now with them as equal actors, I am even more convinced that Mohanlal is the one for me. At least, in the 1980s. Haven’t made a decision yet for the other eras.

And now I have to run around doing a million things so there isn’t really any time for me to write a full blog post on something else. Well, not yet. Maybe tonight.
