I am just cranking through commentator Niki’s recommendations! She’s going to have to start nagging me about new stuff. Not that I mind because once again, I very very much enjoyed what she suggested! Oh, and this is a Tabu film, in honor of her birthday week.
Happy Wednesday! I finally got around to making this week’s box office video. Not anything really different from the box office post I already put up, but with hand gestures and stuff to make it more interesting.

You thought you could escape me, but I have followed your trail of clues! And now I get to give you nice things. I have been nagged by you nice people in the comments to watch this movie for I think a year now. And I finally did it!!!! Which means your nagging works, and you should keep it up.
Phew! Finally! A film doing exactly the same as it would have done last year, bring us back to “normal” instead of continuing the shocking slide downhill. (as always numbers from rentrack by way of bollywoodhungama)
Maybe it was because I hadn’t had breakfast yet, but this was an action film trailer that actually made me tear up a little. Okay, almost certainly it was because I hadn’t had breakfast yet.
This is inspired by Alisa, our new commentator who is trying to get a handle on the films. And also likes Aamir, thus the orgy of Aamir at the end this. It’s half tongue in cheek, just an excuse for fun songs, but also serious, these songs will really give you a leg up on some common words.

It’s been a long time since I went to a movie theater and it was so crowded I could hardly find a seat! That was exciting. And I don’t think it was just about the quality of this film (although it is very very good), I think it is also a “right time” thing.
Happy first TGIF post after Shahrukh month! And it will be (almost) Shahrukh free! Because he isn’t always “cuddly”. In the “teddy bear” kind of way.
News round-up! With NO SHAHRUKH STORIES AT ALL. Truly, we are in a new era starting today. (and then I immediately mention him in the first paragraph of an unrelated story. But it was RELEVANT!)
Happy Ittefaq day! Seeing it tonight, the new one that is, and reviewing/spoiling the old one this morning. I’m spoiling on purpose, I suspect the remake will be in conversation as it were with people’s expectations from the original, so if you know the original plot, it might make you more curious to see the remake.
My sister, the teacher, celebrates Shahrukh and Amitabh in her own special way. On their birthdays every year, her homework problems have a very special theme. Also, there is background music playing during class. And depending on the ethnic make-up of the group, they either really get into it (like when she was teaching in New Jersey and the class was 2/3rds desi) or are super confused. Anyway, this year she is letting me share with you all, so we can all learn about Shahrukh, and also math.
