Happy Thanksgiving! I am in the process of beating myself up trying to organize my apartment, but I am also trying to be thankful for the good things in life. Assume that family, friends, health, etc., are all taken as a given. Here are the other things!
This is just because I have been watching Cheers and now I can’t get the idea of a remake out of my head. So I had to dig up a few more TV show options as well, just to round out the post. Feel free to give me suggestions in the comments for more I could use if I missed your favorite! Especially since my TV taste trends towards the classic.
Get ready for me to be lazy! I just dug up a paper I wrote for grad school on this film/Shahrukh’s star persona and wildly slashed out bits and rearranged and then threw it up. But whatever, I haven’t done a Rab Ne post yet really, and it was time. The post I really wanted to write was on Lucky: No Time for Love, but I’m not going to let myself, because that should wait for Salman’s Birthday Celebration time.

Happy Sunday! Much later than usual. Because I am visiting my sister and I was busy learning how to crochet and stuff. Which brings me to this post! Snow isn’t exactly the magical wonderment for me that it is for people in Indian movies. It’s been a part of my life for 4 months out of the year (at least) as long I can remember. But even so, there is something about the first snowfall of the year that is still kind of magic. Anyway, men in snow! Let’s look at them!

My sister, the teacher, celebrates Shahrukh and Amitabh in her own special way. On their birthdays every year, her homework problems have a very special theme. Also, there is background music playing during class. And depending on the ethnic make-up of the group, they either really get into it (like when she was teaching in New Jersey and the class was 2/3rds desi) or are super confused. Anyway, this year she is letting me share with you all, so we can all learn about Shahrukh, and also math.

Good morning! Shahrukh waited to come out to greet his fans until I was awake, which was terribly considerate of him. Well, for me. Not for the poor fans who had been waiting all night and day. But that’s just part of the November 2nd story, what else has been happening?

Yaaaaaay! For the 1 day, the final day, here is the 1 way that Shahrukh makes me feel. Happy 2 Days to Shahrukh’s birthday! Yesterday was his 3 favorite people in his life, today is my 2 favorite people in his life.
Not very different from last year, but I feel like that’s nice, for the last few days, to always have the same thing. Because when you get to the very most important things about a person, not much changes year by year.
Last Sunday of 31 days o’ SRK! Very sad. Although I am also kind of excited about being able to try out new non-SRK fanfic if I want next week. Anyway, for the final post, 4 real life stories that Shahrukh should play. And since it is just 4, I go into great great detail, unlike me very brief posts for some of the 11 last week.
This is a very practical post. I assume that now is the time we are all finalizing our plans for Thursday? Well, this can be a place to discuss options!
Sadly, this is the last Friday that will be having entirely SRK TGIF posts. Although, happily, that does mean the return of Prabhas and other southern heroes to our lives. Plus John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, and all the other old favorites. Anyway, for our last post, which is also the 6th day before the birthday, I thought the 6 Flavors of Ayurvedic diet/medicine might be nice. In a mixture of images and quotes.
